Somehow I am no longer receiving my most favorite blog( yours!) in my inbox. Is there a way to rectify this? Don’t want to miss s single post! Thanks

This is my absolute favorite time of the year to visit the coastal areas of Ft B and Mendocino and your photos have captured all the reasons why…when some days will be sunshine-y diamonds for bare arms and feet and some days will be gray and ‘m{y/ist}’-erious like stones…ever so cool!

What a beautiful home you are staying in! And yes, that bird mailbox (birdbox?) so sweet. Looks like a wonderful time is being had by all, blowing the cobwebs away with the ocean breeze. Wonderful!

You had me at sea glass…….

Looks like a fun time is being had by all. I am experiencing a wee bit of sea glass envy!!!! 😉

Just read your blog and as always inspiring, and fun. When my daughter was little we would go to the beach and collect sea glass and to this day (she’s 16 now) we have a massive jar of it. She always called beach glass…. MERMAID TEARS.

Absolutely beautiful photos!! I couldn’t resist pinning a bunch of them to my Pinterest boards!! I can’t believe how much sea glass you found. It’s so hard to come by around here. Thanks for sharing your photos and have a great weekend. : )

Home sweet home yet bittersweet at the moment. In a roundabout way I ended up here. I love everything I see. What drew me in the Seaglass. I am an avid beach comber and seaglass is up at the top of my great loves. Currently on an extended stay in Tennessee and oh boy do I miss the Seabreeze on my face and smells of home. I believe I will hang around on your wonderful adventures and take in all the beauty, here, that you share with us. Thank you…

That is MY kind of weather. Sadly, my dh would be huddling inside. Nothing I like better than brisk (he says freezing…) wind and crashing waves. Glad you two have your storm weather gear for outside and then back inside to create fun and more mischief plans.

Wonderful photos–especially the ones of the sea glass–I have been to different beaches, but i have never been to one where there was sea glass. (I have seen sea glass)–how beautiful it is to see it amongst the stones and pebbles. Wow–thanks for those photos!! The place you are staying looks fabulous and what a cute photo of the two of you!

That was suppose to be sea glass, not seagulls.

Wow, your photos are gorgeous! I bet the stormy weather is a wonderful change from LA hot temperatures lately. Also, I have never seen a beach with so much seagulls. AMAZING!

Geez, how much fun are you having, girl? Don’t answer, I can see. Gorgeous California Poppies (are they called that there or are they just poppies? Like Chinese food, lol) I’ve grown them at several places and adore them.
We’re off to Cambodia in a week, eeeek!! Cannot wait, so bloody excited. Only 2 days left as a worker day slob. Yay. I’ll have so many ‘Dispatches” to catch up with when we return. Oh, the agony!
Enjoy your ramblings, and take care, MA. Cheers, Kym xx

I know exactly where you are because I was there only a month ago. We tugged our travel trailer all the way up the coast from Oceanside, CA to Astoria, OR. It was great fun! I hope you did as a previous commenter said and zigged left rather than right on the trail to Glass Beach. We thought we found it on the right and were blown away when we really found it on the left. Have a marvelous time! You’re in my happy place!

What a gathering of delightful places. You two are so darn cute and funny. I have never been where I could gather sea glass. I really must get right there where you are sometime! Awesome.

You guys are having TOO much fun!! xox

Ah, the coast looks so nice and cool. We’re expecting triple-digit temps here in Sonoma County this weekend (again). FYI all you sea glass lovers..sadly, it’s illegal to take glass from Glass Beach. : (

Wow is it ever beautiful where you are! It looks so lovely and cozy inside, and the VIEW! Very inspiring! Loving the mailbox and the beach glass. Ooooh la-la! Had you heard about the tsunami warning from the Chilean earthquake? Not sure if it actually happened, but wondered if that was part of the rough surf. Do you use the fireplace? Nothing better than a fireplace, good food, good company, art and a Pacific storm. Living the good life…Be well.

drop dead gorgeous photos! But I expect nothing less from you. Thanks for taking me there. The sea glass is really gorgeous. I have never bee to California, but that picture compares to some spots I have seen in Maine, secret spots on private beaches we have dared to sneek on, mostly people are nice and let you look….just heavenly!

I think I need to find that glass beach next time I make it to California. Thanks for the good idea of places to visit. Your trip is looking “MARVELOUS” without the Billy Crystal NY accent.
Suki says
OOOOOoooo, looks like you made it to Glass Beach MAM! If you climb over the rocks on the left side of the cove and get to the next cove it has WAY more glass. But the rocks can be slick and scary. Here’s my adventure there: http://birdseyeviewstudio.blogspot.com/2013/01/road-trip-day-six-glass-beach-fort-bragg.html
Want to go back!
