scenes from my old hood in echo park. love this part along sunset blvd. that has so far escaped gentrification.

AAAACK! I get a few days behind in my reading and you start hanging out with the Longears again!
I wonder if the House of Spirits is haunted.
Did you get the PAMELA book for me?
O.k. Mary Ann, you’ve done it again! Ha! Worked in the 9000 block of Sunset Blvd. for years and would spend lunch hours going down the blvd. and enjoying all it has to offer – so fun! Have not been back there for a long while. Now I will HAVE to visit it again this next trip down. We will have to stop at Angelus Salad – never been. Thanks so much for sharing!
Yes! Dang, now I want a fish taco!
Love the romp through the places you used to hang your hat and kick up the dirt once in awhile. I love the times I go through my old neighborhood, which I still do rather frequently. What was once a very middle class working man’s neighborhood has blossomed into a lovely artist community, while retaining the authenticity of all the original structures. Thanks for sharing Mary Ann.
There’s no place like home! Looks like the real deal to me!
Are those boxing bunnies friends with the poodles in your painting?
I think Nicola used to be in this neighborhood, yes?
Ah, yes. The infamous Dueling Hare. Once the scene of an unreported Beiber take-down by Courtney Love.
