just puttering around here at moss cottage. resting up for my big adventure. tossing things in the suitcase every now and then. adding more days to my sketchbook. taking long autumn naps in my creative incubator bed. our weather is golden and mild. cool breezes ruffle the curtains.
copic multi-liners are my new fav sketch pens. i don't get the SP kind – too expensive. i like the regular ones. these are the pens i'm carrying with me to amsterdam. 2 black & sepia faber castels, 2 markers, 4 copic multi-liners. no pencils no erasers means no rethinking or fixing. easier that way, not to mention faster! whatever line i lay down will have to work. note though that super skinny .03 pen. the line it makes is like a wispy thread. i can go in with the .5 and sort things out if i get in a jam.
i'm adding ledger paper over the tops of some of my white pages. makes a nice sketch background and takes to watercolor really well.
okay. back to puttering on a sunday evening. hope you're doing something GOOD in your neck of the woods.

hi tina,
these copic multi-liners have nothing whatsoever in common with the copic markers. same brand. different animal. they are sketch/drawing pens similar to pitt or micron pens. there has to some key difference between the SP version and the ones i have, but i do not know what it would be and i am too cheap to find out.

I’m returning from a quick art trip to Albuquerque. Back to regular life… good thing I’ve got armchair traveling to Amsterdam with you to look forward to!

Hey, Lady!
Love the ledger paper! What is the difference between the Copics you use and the SP version? I really want to try Copics but the price has been inhibiting me. Have a phantasmagoric adventure in Amsterdam! I look forward to reading about your trip.

I love old ledger paper & look forward to see what you do with it. Thanks for giving me the boost to start using more of mine. Have you checked out Lapin’s website? He sketches & watercolors exclusively on ledger paper/accounting books, and they’re beautiful; but I’m so partial to your eclectic, bold style. Awesome, indeed.

Gotta give you a high 5 on the copic multi-liners. I’d been hemming and hawing over them for weeks and picked up a set a few weeks ago and I LOVE them. I’ve been using them in my ‘sewn’ pattern book. My fave happens to be that 0.03 I can cheat my marks that way, I am oh so very hesitent with a pen or pencil in my hand. I am looking forward to you upcoming adventure…so excited for you and for us too…all those peeky peeks and views.

You, my dear, are a master putter-er! Every time I read your blog I feel a deep satisfaction and joy that you made the decision to have this year off. No one has ever made better use of a sabbatical. Keep up the good work!
