I’m having the time of my life in my tiny workshop experimenting with more wood panels. That’s me there in the canoe paddling down a shimmering river. Big smile on my face. A flower tucked behind each ear.
At night I leave the canoe and make camp for the night. I build small bonfires. And send smoke signals out into the world. Thick while smoke against a black sky. Leave your house. Go outside right now and stare up at the sky. Tell me if you can see them.
Mary Ann, this blue slays me.
I am SO ready to do this! I have some wood panels, but they’re keeping me in my bassinette. Not sure how to proceed.
You have the most unique blog ever. Or, since unique isn’t a matter of degree, you have the uniquest one. Thanks for doing what you would do even if I didn’t thank you.
Mary Ann, What wonderful pannels.
Happy Valentines:)
xoxoxo,
Linda
yes, i drew the flowers 🙂
OMG! Smoke signals, flowers, canoes, even horseback riders, those colors!!! The smoke signals drifted all the way to Texas, I saw them against the clouds. Those flowers…did you draw them? The colors and the pictures you used…It all takes my breath away. Wow.
I saw them, I saw them – I mistakenly thought the smoke was from our neighbors burning the branches from their pruned trees. So glad to have caught a glimpse as these moved north. Love these panels Mary Ann.
and here I just thought they were snow clouds…my bad. Glad it was you.
Ya HA!
Careening in a new and fabulous direction!
I love painting on the journals and I’m loving your style.
These are just too great. Brava – Brava- Brava!!!
I see them…they are rising over the trees; which today have a brilliant coating of hoar frost…everything is pure white…but just in the distance there they are…blue white puffs leaving me a site line right to you….these panels are fantastic. Thanks for taking time to leave your canoe to share them with us.
oooh panels. TEMPTING! and canoes, Dreamy!
I saw your smoke signal. At first I thought that it was just the cloud of my breath on a cold, starry night, but now I kow it was your signal. Look hard when you go again for the stars I see here in the Blue Ridge on a clear night. So many that they take your breath away. Your smoke signal fits right in.
Wow… love these panels… your work is delightful!… I used to camp, hike and kayak alone here quite a bit… but I’ve sold my kayak and since the population explosion of pythons in Florida, I don’t camp or hike alone anymore… Sad… I love it so…
I’m loving these panels. Esp the first one. Did you draw those fabulous flowers?
Child please, if I went out in this neighborhood at night?! pffft, yeah right.
I was wondering what that was up there. Thanks for the clarification!
I think I can barely see a wisp of white smoke – it is hard to tell, because of all the clouds…
if i squint and stand on one foot and stretch my neck way out i can just make out your smoke signal mary ann. it takes so much effort on this end because afterall i am all the way in nothern illinois. but catching a glimpse of the joy you are engaged in to cheer you on a bit is well worth the achy neck
