I have a new mission in life. It is called Making Postcards While Simultaneously Building Postcard Empire in my mind. All the details are worked out. Goodbye classroom. Hello wealth and chateau in small French village, apartment in Rome, yacht (with sea captain) to roam Greek islands. Someone get me another martini!
Complete, utter, rhapsodic enjoyment. Enhanced by not 1, but 2 Emily Wells cds spinning over and over and over and over. Oy. Discovered her last week on KCRW. Fell in love today. Mt. Washington and 50 Year Love Affair are good introductions. Symphonic folktronica. Who knew?
Wish I knew how to have copies made on heavyweight non-glossy paper before I send them out into the world. Hmmmmmm must turn off the music and put on thinking cap. Put away martini shaker. Get serious.
In the meantime I’m adding a postcard photo album. And going apple picking with my brother, Paul tomorrow. 20 more days of vacation. New president in 13 days. Life is good.

Try VistaPrint.com to make your postcards, I did mine with them using my own art and they came out wonderfully, I’ll mail you one so you can see the results. Good luck and if you need a secretary for the postcard empire, I’m your gal. Would love to have a good reason to leave Florida!
Hugs!

http://www.psprint.com is having a post card printing sale on until the end of October. I am sure they will be able to assist you in beginning your empire. Their website is easy and efficient to use, so much so that even a monkey can do it.

I should have been more clear, but I blame it on the martinis. I meant professionally copied and cut and made into postcards. you know…for my EMPIRE.

I love the way your mind works. May I suggest Kinko’s for the copies on heavy matte paper? You can run the color copier yourself. It’s my favorite pastime. (We must have records of our magnum opii)

Twenty more days! You go back in time for Thanksgiving break? How much winter break do you have? Have you taken the card stock you like to Kinkos or Staples to see if originals can be copied on your stock choice? I have taken my own glossy stock and made shiny copies successfully myself.
What kind of apples? I have an old funky tree in my yard, many apples on ground and small tasty (just ask the worms and birds) fruit on the tree. Biting into an apple is a precious moment that we take for granted.

Call me when it’s time to expand your postcard empire. I’ll be your marketing director or agent:
“Sorry Brad, she’s booked that night, send our love to Angelina and the kids….”
By the way, that “PROGRESS” poster in the left gutter is amazing.

I love, love, LOVE the Lost postcard. That’s been me, many times….but, are you really lost if you don’t care where you are? Enjoy the rest of your vacation.
