The photos are going to do all the talking today. More from my treks over bridges and into downtown.
My inner mute button is stuck in the ON position. But the driving tours continue.
Wordier posts may resume sometime in the near future, but I can’t say when. In the meantime talk amongst yourselves.
just wanted to let you know i enjoyed your pictures….i worked in downtown los angeles at dept. of water and power for many years…the 70’s…and it was fun to see pix of some really beautiful things from around downtown…just drove thru downtown on our way to gem show in tucson, ariz…..i see the freeways are more crowded and busier than ever….but i still love it…hey, i learned to drive in so. cal!!!!…..when i moved up here, northern california…a whole different world….love your pictures, and i agree, they are visually stunning! good work!
Okay! I need to plan a trip to go on a picture taking trip with you! You certainly have the best graffiti around and all I have are cows! LOL!! Love the new pictures! Looking forward to more smiling faces of the wild horses, too!!! Have a great week! Roben-Marie
phwoooo, you know that word I am I am trying for here…..

But isn’t a picture worth a thousand words???
speaking volumes
in terse phrases
and elegant imagery
few words are
more than fine
xox – eb.
what an eye (s) you have. For anyone who says “I don’t know what to take picture of…” I suggest your site. It is an eloquent reminder to slow down and SEE. I am hoping your muteness is an operational choice and not due to tough stuff. Either way, I respect your quiet, wish you very well, and look forward to your words again.
Cheers,
That graffiti – holy wowza. You KNOW I wanted to say your excited phrase, the one that starts with F? hee hee … I’d love to do entire huge canvases like that. I don’t really have others to talk amongst, so is it ok if I talk to myself? & maybe my cat posse of one? … love the pics, Mary Ann, all of ’em.
Aha! The cat posse finally got your tongue! It was only a matter of time, wasn’t it?
Wonderful evocative photos! You make LA seem magical. “…the eye of the beholder”!
Love the graffiti and the woman in the window art. Great photos!!
Great shots! I love the colors!
But, I am a little perplexed over the “Ginseng and Marine Products” facility!!! What’s up with that? LOL!
Wow! The graffiti art in your city is amazing! The best we usually get here in my city is misspelled swear words hahahaha. jj… they usually check how to spell them first hahahahha.
Anyways, just wanted to say thanks for showing the stunning photos here 🙂
