oh hi!
it’s our first autumn-feeling day here in LA. the air is cool, the sun is mild, the sky is pale.
my copo de oro vine has shot up since last month when i planted it. i tucked a bit of mint in its shade.
got the ink out and did some quick sketches with a brush. haven’t played with my inks in awhile, but have been seeing all the #inktober sketches on IG and got inspired.

HI Mary Ann I am way behind in opening my emails. My momma died in Sept and have been away on vacation and now back have filled my days with cleaning out all closets and drawers and doing busy stuff. I think I have done everything I can possibly do but make art. Art centers me but have been lost for a while in my grief. I love your posts and all the techniques tools you share. I haven’t used these pens before but they look like a lot of fun!! Have been drooling over some of your courses and after the holidays will probably buy a few. Hope your day is full of joy.
I am inking in my sketches from my trip to Italy. Now that I am home I am trying to get the sketches done and water colored. Fall is here in NorCal as well. Wearing warm jackets when out and about.

Bunnies! Love ’em! I’ve also been snooping at #inktober posts, but have yet to bust out my inks. Alas, as Scarlet says, “I’ll think about it tomorrow!”
I bought pumpkins today, some fall foliage even tho it’s near 90F in the high desert….everyone is bragging about Fall showing up, well not here. In spite of warm weather I got up and put on a huge pot of spaghetti with meat sauce. Let it simmer all day. We literally made pigs of ourselves this evening. SO good. That was my big day. Love those wascally wabbits! Oh, that copo del oro plant! There was one of those that covered an arbor in the front of this mansion in San Diego, flowers as big as a mixing bowl, utterly spectacular in size and color. Yours looks nice and healthy.
those rabbits are EXCEPTIONAL. actually they are exceptionally exceptional. in other words they be real real good. i like them v.v.v. much.
I write with a fountain pen which I get where you get your ink. Diamine Antique Copper is a color you might want to try. So many possibilities!
Yes. Autumn is here, but I am a little sick with Ann autumn cold. However, I don’t mind. I ordered a quite delicious squash soup at the restaurant at Convict Lake near Mammoth just recently. I will try to recreate it. If it is any good I will share the recipe. The rabbit pictures are very captivating as we had a family of rabbits share their property with us last week. I don’t know if they kept staring at us or if we were staring at them. Beautiful little rascals.
