I’m a little late getting registration open, due to my awesomely slow internet, but at long last OMG! is live. Yep. It’s officially official.
If you’re interested in painting the summer away in your sketchbooks, and exploring the lovely world of gouache I’d love to have you. If not, I’ll just keep meeting you here for our regular coffee clatch. I know I’ve been lost in space recently, but building an online class is a big endeavor. I’ve been forging new neural pathways in my nutcracker the last few weeks as I’ve been building the website. Especially yesterday when registration opened and closed in the space of an hour. I had a steady stream of people knocking on my door trying to get in, but I lost the key and couldn’t get the door unlocked. Whoever invented online chat support was a genius. Turns out the key was in my pocket the whole time. Whaddayagonnadoooo?
I’ve got some videos already loaded up on the class blog for you. One is around 15 minutes long – me waxing on about paint selection. In another slightly shorter video I show you how mix your gouache and get it ready to go in your palette so you’re good to go on the first day of class. Or for that matter if you want to start getting painty ahead of time.
Once class begins on June 10th, we’ll hit the ground running.
In other news, hydrangeas are blooming at the Huntington. The bees are drunk & happy.
I had a dream about popsicles…
A pretty flower bloomed in my garden.
I am going to paint this cactus soon into my sketchbook.
See you soon!

Hi Mary Ann,
Help! I signed up this morning for unlimited access to OMG! Alas, as I was reading the welcome info that I suspect was automatically generated to me, I hit a button at the top of my iPad screen and that welcome page disappeared before my very eyes. Is it possible for you to resend it? Fortunately I wrote down my username and password when I signed up, so all is not lost. Still…I feel like an idiot. Thanks.
