voila! the paint turns red in the sun!
diana giffin@naturegrl64 – posted this little bluebird on her IG yesterday. he didn’t have a square breast, but i gave him one anyway, cause that’s how i roll.
documenting my pens & paint in travel journal numero dos.
getting the trim on your old house painted is kind of like “if you give a mouse a cookie”
in this case, it’s if you paint the trim on your old house, you’ll see that you actually need a new roof, a new door, and xyz fixed before your house falls down. whaddayagonnadoooo?
poco a poco. that’s what.
i’m blowin’ this pop stand soon and headed for central america. and right now i’m gonna go find a hotel to stay next to the lake which is next to the volcano which is next to the other volcano which is next to the other volcano which is next to some smoke & lava.
the end.
Wooozer I love the colors and your tile work. I see kitties are loving all the colors too.!!!
If you are going to Lake Atitlan I highly recommend the Posada de Santiago in Santiago Atitlan. The stone cottages are delightful.
Oh my gosh. Too funny. Where are these volcanoes??! South America right?! Or central. Love that birds. Houses. Always calling apart but as the French say que sera que sera.
What a cute house you have. The new color looks spiffy. I know what you mean; I once bought a new lampshade and it made everything else in the living room look shabby. 🙁 Funny how that works.
Love your new paint colors, especially the window trim with bright white windows! I’m keeping my eyes peeled for square-bottomed bluebirds!
Moss Cottage Rocks Mary Ann. You can bet your bottom dollar that the next time I come for a visit to LA. I’m doin a drive back, gonna wave like a crazy woman, whether or not you are home and then your neighbors are gonna spend weeks wondering who the heck that nutso woman was, yelling ‘hi Mary Ann, toodle loooooooooo toodle loooooooo ” I think I would swoon if I ever got close enough to the delightful Moss Cottage. Did you know you build the best nests to call home and your temporary nests, the one you call home during your adventures are almost always just as swell as Moss cottage? You got a gift girl, you really do. 😉 🙂 😉
Love the door! Yummy colour. Real good choices in all. And your birds & cats are lovely too 🙂
That paint looks so crisp and sharp on your house! And the door? Well, I guess you already know I love it, but I will still say it. That little bird is so stinking cute! Square breast and all. After you said you were going to Guatamala I saw an episode of Househuunters International and a couple was moving there, so I got a tour on TV. I think right where you are going! There were several cone shaped volcanos and a beautiful lake. It was gorgeous there and the houses were so unique! You are going to have a blast!
i saw the same episode karen!!
Love the trim and door color and your catzenjammers are adorable but what caught my are the two doormats. I have the same ones. We have good taste.
I esp like the way the window trim looks when it’s dark red. Your cottage is so very you which is how homes should be. But maintenance? oh it never ends…but then again, we each see the to-do list and our friends see the done bits that make it a personal place. I had that reminder from my own friends this week.
Moss Cottage looks beautiful. Your patio with all it’s succulents, and everything about it, is so inviting. The paint on the door just pops. Bon Voyage!
Love that trim color!! yum! Have a wonderful trip. Can’t wait to hear all about it!
I’d say your house looks about perfect – with matching painter! You should get him to stay 🙂
MaryAnn ~ Did you do the tile work around your red door?? It is gorgeous!!
i did the chunky mosaic with found glass/tile – the 2nd layer of blue tile was done by the guy who did my patio…as i type this i realize that my blog footer is the exact same color as my new door!
and magic. next to the magic. find someone to take you to visit maximon.
Love the color and the colors of your life … Dazzling!
Love, love, love your cottage. Perfect…
