adding photos and collaging my way through the last of the white pages in the travel journal. i expect to cross the finish line on sunday. can you please be there with a bottle of cold water and a slice of peach pie?
i’ve begun to sort through my photos i’ll use for my sweden BLURB book. i have a category: “photo books” where i’ve written about blurb before. that’s in the “daily life” pull-down menu in the nav bar. all of those category links sort those posts into a visual post grid. makes it easier to find things. by the way this theme i’m using is called UBUD and it’s made by a german designer at elma studio who has really good videos that splain what to do. MAKIS, my helpful greek web tech who specializes in all things wordpress, fixes the other things i can’t wrap my brain around.
going or just returning from somewhere wonderful? spill.

I sure miss the L.A. Banners of the former blog, hopefully one will be included here? I’m sure this is a lot of work to put together your new home and you’re still in “move-in” stage. Having this be so stark white is so NOT Mary Ann & will be colorful soon.

So you want me at the finish line w/water. No way! How about a mimosa or bloody Mary? I am locked in my studio avoiding all the smoke from the fires. I live just west of the Cascades in the foothills. So far safe and sound (well as sound as I can be 🙂 but today we are getting the smoke. I would give just about anything for a good downpour. I digress….. Am loving your new site and am slowly finding my way around. I’ll get the drinks ready my friend. Have a beautiful day!

Here is a virtual giant slice of warmed peach pie with french vanilla ice cream sliding off the top! I have brandy, but no cold water…Thank you so much for the voluptuous sharing of your travels! and for your uninhibited delight in not going back to work…fits me to a T.
My next big adventure is to Europe in mid-October a few short-stops and then 2 months housesitting in Tuscany…I’ll see if we can have guests. In the mean time I have to pack for a camping trip up into the Rockies a couple of hours from here! Thanks for asking.

Mary Ann,
OK, I’ve poked around your new digs and can’t locate the links you had before to other artists (and your sister’s blog). Have I not looked in the right places?
Mary Ann Moss says
Adding stuff daily…just added links, faq, camera, and more up to top nav bar…links are under INSPIRATION

your journal is a feast! small plates of ephemera, meaty entrees of gorgeous sketches and paintings, and these blog entries – sweet dessert. thank you for sharing! inspirational!
for my “milestone” (ahem) birthday, in 12 days (not that i’m counting) we are off to southern europe. we will start with a weekend in barcelona followed by a mediterranean cruise and finish up with a weekend in venice. we are viewing this as a sampler platter–a way to taste lots of cities and sights and not have to unpack too many times! then when we return, we’ll have a top ten list to choose from. my big journal is prepped and ready to go (a gutted BIG world atlas with new watercolor pages) and in my day bag is that little orla kiely flip top journal you featured here a few years ago. i hope to fill them both up!

i haven’t been to barcelona, but hear it is gorgeous! can’t help but think you’ll enjoy yourselves. the giant world atlas with watercolor pages, your perfect accompaniment!
