after resisting the siren song of the iphone for a loooong time…i finally Got One.
i got a pedometer app and realized with dismay, that while i thought i'd been logging 40 or 50 thousand steps and 20 flights of stairs daily, i only actually logged 3,452 steps and 1 crappy old flight of stairs. but the day's not over yet!
it's been awhile since i documented my drive to work, but i love watching the city waking up.
last night i started a 3 way call between 2 unsuspecting people.
i videotaped my kids in slow motion running in the classroom this morning.
then i made them all go run laps while i made a time lapse video of them.
i got the pictapgo app and filtered all of these photos.
i asked siri about a thousand questions.
now i'm going to walk up and down my driveway and rack up some more steps.
see you soon!

Ooooohhhhhhhh those photos are the bestest…I just love peekin over your shoulder, lookin’ at unfamiliar landscape of a place unexplored and new to me….LA is home to you but for me it’s an adventure waiting to be explored in all it’s glory…I am guessin’ you are still happily surprised some days by what you come across in your ever evolving city scene. Iphones are wonderful, Mine is just a 4s but it does me well, Dd has a 5 with siri and you can have a lot of fun with her and sometimes she’ll surprise you with her answers. She has some pretty funny comebacks in her arsenal that will be sure to put a smile on her face and you can get her goin’ with wise cracks and shenanigans. One morning DD asked her what the day’s weather would be like, it was below zero and just plain cold and siri’s reply amounted to the sound this word makes. BLEhhhhhhhk!!!! It was hilarious. WE’ve never gotten her to do that again. Siri is a hoot. Have fun and keep snappin away…I’ll be watching 🙂

Mary Ann, I get a big kick out of your little e-mails. So much better than stupid sale offers, etc!

Glad you joined the iEverything club. I reeeeeally like the size of my 4S but am going to upgrade in a month or two or… I just am not looking forward to bigger though the eyes are saying Do It.
I have a setting that reminds me to get up and walk twice a day. I only do rounds in the house but 5 min gives me 500 steps or so. I used to – a few years ago – get those 10k then the knee went south. Post surgery my goal is 3k a day, now since I can finally get outside despite today’s last minute of winter snow I’m upping it to 4k. The days I was in NYC I did 18k but was hobbling back to my hotel!

Okay. I was fine with your ridin’ photos till the one where you are actually ridin’ in that traffic! All the others I could see you stopped or pulled over, but, girl, you is ridin’ whilst snappin’. Just don’t do that:) I too was soooo excited by Carol’s pedometer app and like you …..whew. Don’t worry the excitement wears off by about day 5. Today I walked the dog we are dog-sitting for and went 1.1 ‘miles’ with ‘Myles’….I am crippled tonight and that was only 2,000 some odd steps and no frickin’ stairs. Can’t wait to hear more of what you are up to, it will increase my usage. No doubt.

So love that Springsteen song…it just takes that one line to get me singing in my head (not out loud b/c that would just be rude). Love the photo journaling of your trip to school. Gotta go walk…to bed!

Yay. I love my iPhone. Here are a few app suggestions you might like:
Rhona Designs – let’s you add all sorts of filters/text to your pics.
Snapseed – best pic editing app around (I reckon)
Pic Stich – nice way to present multiple images in one grid
EverNote – creative way to keep organised
Waterlogue – turns photos into watercolour sketches. Very cool.
Enjoy!

I have an iPhone, but have yet to use it much. I do lots, including complicated graphics programs, on my desktop, but have been intimidated by that darned phone. My daughter assures me that I will LOVE it, if and when I ever USE it. 😉
Hubby is on his all the time, though he doesn’t know how to send an email on the computer. Go figure. 🙂

Glad you caved in and got yourself one. I started with the 4S, just upgraded to the 64 Gig iPhone 6. These are really a computer, mailbox, camera in your hand. Marvelous things. I love mine and all my Apple products. You’ll have a great time with it. The calendar with alerts is a life saver. Ask Siri where the bodies are buried. HA
I have Adele’s Rolling in the Deep as my ringtone, but want to change it to Ferrell’s, Happy….because it makes me happy when I hear it and snap my fingers.

Me too! Me too! I got mine for Christmas… no more carrying around my old phone plus a small camera; heck, I find myself leaving my even bigger camera at home a lot more now, too. The quality of the photos is stunning and it is just SO much fun, especially with all the editing apps. Congratulations on your new iPhone; can’t wait to see more of your photos!

I resisted until 2 years ago. I don’t have too many apps or else I would never get anything done! I have come to rely on it much more than I would like…but I do love it!
