i returned to the park this morning. how nice it is to stand in the rose garden with the sun on my back and sketch.
i added some j. herbin vert olive ink to my lamy safari which still had some diamine soft mint. the resulting color was a stronger green and not the exquisite shade of minty blue green like the soft mint. bleh. also, it isn't water soluble so there was minimal bleeding. feh.
it does leave an interesting violet shade if blotted when wet though! more than what the pic above reveals.
i love drawing with colored inks.
that's all she wrote!

Sumptuous sketches! Wish I’d been there. It poured on and off yesterday here. No standing about doing anything with the sun on your back. It was scurry for cover most of the day. Ah, well. Love your sketching adventures and how you share them with us!

Play, splash, draw inky drawings, sounds like fun to me. Glad you’re out and about during your break. Did you read my post about tapping the screen on the part of the scene you want to focus? Also using the up/down volume buttons for the shutter release lessens shake/movement…you may have the camera focused too close (the roses) rather for distance, resulting in blurred photo…give it whirl and see if that solves the blur factor.
