still playing around with the iphone 6 camera. i notice the close-up shots are a lot better quality than the far away ones.
the cat paw shots are excellent.
succulents. right on!
visitors with hammers. a little grainy.
since october my wall art has been askew. when pam came over today i pretended to be confused as to where everything should go. what do YOU think, i wanted to know. within a minute her shoes were off, she hopped up on the couch and bang bam hammer hammer bam everything was set right again. i sat on the couch and offered counsel when asked.
i love it when i can get people to do my bidding and have them think it's their idea. another trap successfully sprung!
after the hammering session had concluded we swapped sketchbooks. just look at all of hers in the picture above. great scott!
there was a busy extended flurry of conversation. so much so that i only managed to get a few birds drawn.
guess what?
it's spring break!
i'm off for the next 8 days.
ONE week, standing right in front of me like a giant sun.
oh boy.
quack quack.

sharon i bow to your comparison. i adore nathalie lete. although she has that “naive style she has an practiced eye for proportion and has an innate sense of the shape of things. alas my birds are quirky due due to my developing hand-eye coordination. nevertheless i accept the compliment!!

hey lisa, thanks!
i used a thin paint brush and blue gouache to draw the birdies

Yay for iPhone cameras and friends with good wall art ideas! Yay for a painted page of lovely birds and 8 days of playtime! Your birds remind me of Nathalie Lete’s art. Have you seen the video of her painting live in a window in Tokoyo? That could be you 🙂 see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bEPAWCvqiE or search for Nathalie Lete, Tokoyo. Happy Spring Break!

Have fun drawing and painting and goofing off on your week off! Lovely line work on the birds. What tool did you use to draw them? Love the line variety!

Can we see the finished art wall soon?
