the day dawned crisp & bright. i walked to the edge of the bluff in my pjs, raised my arms to the sky, and said "good morning world!"
i padded around the garden and admired all the little live things.
made some coffee.
the sky & water shone.
finished the last page in one of my sketchbooks, and cracked open a new one.
waved to my favorite neighbors.
found another interesting staircase.
did a lot of this.

Merry Merry holidays for the Moss sisters in that beeootiful setting. Dottie will be knocked out when she sees this place.
We’re really seeing winter here. Hard freeze tonight, expecting freezing temps for New Years Eve…yikes. Expecting 340,000 tourists for it. A major city comes to town by car, train, bus, plane. Craziness. I’d rather be where you are or right here in my chair by the fireplace.

And a lovely day was had by all……that’s all that comes to mind. All I can do is stare at your pics. I’m so happy you are tucked away someplace special and grand and that you are surrounded by everything you love and that you love to do. That is all that matters. Your delight is utterly contagious and I for one am glad to have been touched by it. Dottie and you are gonna have an awesome time together.

I don’t have to wish you to have a beautiful, peaceful Christmas – you’re already there! But I will anyway. That photo of the cup of coffee by the ocean said volumes. Looking forward to re-starting Sketchbookery too. Gotta remotivate!

Merry Christmas, Mary Ann! That’s where I want to live. In a house on a bluff overlooking the ocean with stairs leading down to the beach. Have fun, the two of you.
