OMG, you’re a Mads Mikkelsen fan?!?! I adore him! Have you seen After The Wedding? Have you seen Open Hearts? Have you seen The Hunt? All great movies of his. I loved A Royal Affair, too. I have to say, though, I can’t watch Hannibal — it’s just too gruesome for my taste. Have a great weekend. xo

I found bull-winkle. YES!!!! I’m good for the day!!!!! Nothing like a challenge to get my day rolling. Seriously, it’s all good, I’m doing my best to send cooler temps your way…flapping my extra large wings like a crazy woman. xoxox

My first week back to school was like that and I all I did was collapsible on a chair on my screen porch after a day of work. You have been much more ambitious than I could be. Thanks for the movie recommend (been looking for foreign films to watch) and hope it cools off for you soon.

Thank you for the Yiddish video. I laughed and cried at the same time. My parents and grandparents spoke Yiddish in front of the kids when they didn’t want us to understand what they were saying. I never told them that I learned to understand them after years of hearing the language. BTW I’ve had The Royal Affair on my watchlist for a while. I’m going to watch it this weekend.

The Royal Affair a movie about a true story from the history of Denmark … with Mads Mikkelsen, a danish actor. Funny that you see a movie and like a story from my country. Greetings from Denmark 🙂

I loved the Royal Affair as well and wept all through the end. The young Queen has such lovely pearl earrings and chandeliers in every scene, so filigrane and stunningly simple. Love your sketches and palette, cannot wait until the next Scetchbookery class!

Oh, now I want to learn more Yiddish! Thank you so much for sending this video along to all of us!
We can learn so much about this. I found another video on YouTube about young children that speak Yiddish-I had no idea! Your paintings (as always) are incredible.
They get more and more beautiful as time goes on!

The Yiddish clip was fun. I agree, these unique languages/dialects shouldn’t be lost. The words are so descriptive!
