moss cottage is filled with sunshine. i'm sketching some rosebuds i clipped at the park this morning. i picked up THE GOLDFINCH and started reading again. started it 6 months ago and fell into an onlineclasstelevisionsketch spiral. but i've emerged with renewed reading vigor. i have the next 4 days off. meet me in 2 hours for a margarita on the front porch. yours truly.
Two of my favorite things – roses (I can smell yours) and The Goldfinch! I admire your talent!
Really gorgeous drawings from stunning flowers! your drawings are fun and inspiring1
These rose buds look absolutely stunning
I stopped reading “The Goldfinch” at least three times. I couldn’t stand one more bad thing happening to the main character. But in the end, I wanted to find out what happened so finished reading it. Thought the ending was weak. But the rest was good, if a bit dark. And loved the painting. Your roses by the way are fabulous. I keep looking at mine out in the garden but haven’t started sketching them yet.
Aloha, Kate
Beautiful.
OK OK OK I wish I was there but alas I am in my studio looking at a blank pc. of watercolor paper…. A margarita might help________________________ 🙂 ! Next time.

Trying to decide right now which neighbors rose bush to raid so I can make some rose sketches. Fabulous sister! Smashingly fabulous!
A margarita, a porch and a good book. The perfect evening! Oh, and the sketches are lovely.
Lovely roses…wish you weren’t so far away, I’d be right over for a Margarita on the porch.
I’m there…pulling up to the curb……YUM!!!!!!!! 😉
My boss just lent me that book to read, so I’ll bring my copy and my sketching supplies and a glass, see you on the porch!
I just hope your porch can hold all of the margarita drinkers- because you not only have to accommodate the drinkers, but also their drinking glass and their art supplies and sketchbook, so there ya go! I know we will all fit just fine and oh, we will have a fine, lo’ time!
Very nice roses. VERY nice. I am totally impressed.
Good job on those roses!
