went for an booty bustin' walk this morning. i usually stop at the bus stop and sit for a few minutes. this may seem counterintuitive but let me assure you that it is NOT. i like to watch the people whizzing by in their cars and i need to catch my breath. then it's up the hill i go. i was amazed today at how energetic i felt today because of that walk.
i went back and forth in my visual journal and sketchbook. decided to sketch something from each room of my house. will show those tomorrow!
SYTYCD auditions are going on. love that pause button my my tv. i need practice drawing people, but i'm tired of portraits. that didn't take long! sister and i will have to revive sketchwars in some new form. we'll put our heads together and come up with something.

I am playing catch-up on your posts, and it’s like storing up something special to devour. I caught myself smiling as I opened your Hello Monday, you just make me smile and I thank you for that certainty! BTW: my Mom used to smile back at the TV and I thought that was so strange yet sweet.

One of my journals was a Big Ass Journal and I ended up loving it. In fact, for about 3 months I actually filled a page a day, unusual for me. Hard to find this size readymade these days. My journals run the gamete (ps did you know that is how that word is spelled? i sure didn’t) in size, structure, format, level of handmady-ness and subjects. I am a Need Variety Kinda Girl, which is why I so enjoy looking at yours. You have a style of your own, for sure, but surprises galore.

Love your new paints and your pages are oozing happiness on all fronts. YES to Monday’s! Smiling BIG over the SYTYCD sketches. Brittney and I had a sweet chuckle since we are avid fans and could remember each of the dancers you sketched. Awesome! Yeah to walks, good for you and keep on truckin’ girl. Those ‘keen’s were meant for ‘walkin’ thats just what they’ll do, and one of these days these ‘keens’ are gonna walk all over you. ba bum ba bum bum bum ba… Sung BADLY to ‘these boots were made for walking’ xxooxx

How fun to have a new post every day from you! I’m taking next week off – no trips, just planning a little “retirement rehearsal”. Going to see what it’s like to be able to spend a week in the studio (with occasional forays to the cafe to journal). Have tried to do this a couple of times in the last 8 months, but life seemed to intervene – everything looks right on target for this time.
So glad to see that you, my dear, are making the very most out of your “retirement rehearsal” time. You are taking us all on the vicarious ride of a lifetime!

The first pic (the Monday page) is excellent! And I love SYTYCD (although I do have dance envy when watching it…). 🙂
