i’ve been working non stop over here putting the finishing touches on a digital journal booklet.
here are a few little peeks:
i have been practically squealing with drunken glee to finally. FINALLY. have the long stretches of time needed to explore my Photoshop CS5. play. experiment. put the puzzle together. using a combination of my old school journal pages – i mean they’re just sitting on my bookcases may as well use them – and digital pages. also incorporating my ultimate inspiration which were the photos i took on my wild west road trip.
pulling together my travels and resorting my categories has been like taking one mental journey after another. i’m so glad i have a california section that reflects my deep love of this big old place.
and now i’m dashing off to walk my arse around my new favorite park. morning, perfumed blooming trees, few people.
it’s just me. pollyanna. enjoying the holy crapoly out of my leave of absence. xo

Very excited about your new endeavor – I’ve been waiting for you to write a book. However, the only way to have complete creative control over it is…well…you know this. Do it yourself. Nick Bantock (of Griffin and Sabine fame) once told me that there is no way a book like that could have been published today – no publishing house would ever be up for putting that kind of money or effort into specialty design. (I’m sure you’re familiar with that book series.) Of course, I hope one day to see a whole book from you, and you know I’ll be buying that too, of course. We do have to make sure that you can remain pleasantly employed utilizing your talents now, don’t we!

I got spanked once for calling my mother Pollyanna. She did not take it well. The name has made me cringe ever since.
Also, if you are on perpetual spring break, do you still get spring fever? Just wondering.
