one of you sent me this little journal, but i can’t remember who! thanks! it’s my new travel diary. i carry it with me to write in during my expeditions. i’m also writing nightly in my regular travel journal. but less. will show that v.v. soon!
up the down staircase. hoofed it up hoofed it down hoofed it all around. churches, artisan markets, crowded sidewalks, long lines at ATMs, didn’t make it to museum. rested & wrote in a quiet sun dappled square next to a group of small women in black furry skirts. i’m in the middle of a living breathing museum. pulling my camera out and taking pictures of all the indigenous Mayan people just doesn’t seem right. but i want to! i took a few from the back. there are plenty of postcards of the exact people i see on the streets. so i buy them instead.
after resting and thinking more refreshment and resting was required. at the little restaurant on the hill i mentioned earlier…
sopa de frijol. as good as you think it will be. better.
Sent from my iPad
Homage to you, Ms. Moss! http://doodlebugheart.blogspot.com/2011/12/excitement-honor-pride.html
Woohoo! You’re carrying the Doodlebugheart journal! That makes me so proud. 🙂 We’re honored that part of the Basic ‘Bug Kit is with you! Happy trails!
Yumm! Those frijoles negros con crema take me back to when I visited Mexico 30+ years ago.
Hmm, suddenly find myself thirsty and hungry…what a beautiful setting in which Miss Mary Ann has once again found herself!
love it. still enjoying our trip with you, wishing i was there too. only about 20+ degrees where i am at. love all the color on everything. love all the papel picado flags everywhere. i think you need to bring us back some of those to use in our journals. i am envious of all the mexican foods. i haven’t had any good mexican food since i moved from amarillo, tx 6 years ago (glad i’m not there this week).
looking forward to more adventures.
Love the banners flying!
YUM!
