I have turned into a blogging fool! Indulge me. I have just enjoyed a fine x-mas breakfast with my kind hostess which included a sweet gift of chocolate. Was also invited to a Christmas soiree that I shan’t attend, but do appreciate the invitation! Instead I’m staying home to immerse myself in the travel diary of La Duena’s great great grandmother who took a memorable trip to Spain with her great granddaughter on the eve of WW1. Intoxicated by journals & books. That’s me. And later a walkabout through the serpentine streets. I must not let a moment of color pass me by!

Beautiful images. Love all the vibrant hues.
All the colors are incredible but that green building just blows me away!! LOVE that green!! I’m going back to stare at that picture now.
The wild hot colors are what comes to mind when I think of Mexico…it so works there, yet wouldn’t work here. Wonder why? I love all the photos. Such an interesting place and one I’d love to re-visit.
I’m wondering where you’ll be going next? Plans in the works yet?
Hummm… I wonder if the Homeowners Ass. would be partial to jazzing up our neighborhood a bit?
Fantastic!
These beautiful colors…..so intense, that while soaking them in I feel completely full. Leslie
Your photos are ROCKIN’ Mary Ann. Looking at these is pure pleasure. I am looking at each photo and it’s like a playful color palette. Pick any photo and create with the colors you’ve captured. I might have to consider that.
Color intoxication! 😀
Hi Mary Ann, Thanx for thinking about us today, out here in Blog Landing!

the light is amazing in san cristobal, isn’t it? and i’m glad you found the taller…one of the highlights when i had the good fortune to spend time there 10 years ago. your trip sounds fantastic, makes me want to go back!
p.s. any word on the end-of-the-long-count-mayan-calendar-end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it?
what beautiful colors, my heart and soul are singing, this is the best trip we have gone on together yet. We all so enjoy your tales and pictures.
oh glorious glorious glorious!
what a way to spend the holiday.
and, of course, thanks for letting us
ride along.
The colors, the colors… Let me be there with my camera for an hour… Those colors are found in the border area of El Paso and Juarez too, but I hardly ever get to travel without my husband, so I can’t stop every two seconds to snap colours like you are doing here. I am now officially jealous… in a good way.
The colors are what I like the most when it comes to Mexican and Mexico and spanish places on the globe. It’s always the colours. People often dirt poor with only colours to brighten their lives up… And their happy music of course…
I want to go to Mexico now too… What a shame that the country is wrecked by kartels… Maybe you need to go to the South of Mexico to escape the violence. It seems peaceful enough where you are! Great stuff. Please bore us more with snaps of just colours… ;o))))
Beautiful intense colors!! If you haven’t yet been to southern Spain, add that to your list for amazing colors as well!
Sounds like you picked the PERFECT spot to spend this Christmas holiday! Not only are you giving yourself a treat, you are giving all of us who read your blog the gorgeous gift of all your colorful finds! Muchas gracias!!
