stacks of vintage photos sitting around. and 2 perfectly good rolls of pink & orange washi tape. things happened.
when i work in my visual journal i hate to waste paint so i usually swipe it on a blank page. sometimes i don't change it much, other times it becomes something else entirely.

mostly it's not so much how the page comes out as how i feel while i'm doing it. i bet you know what i mean. isn't the ACT of creating a wonder? it always feels to me like my brain starts running on a different frequency. bzzzzzzzzz
i've been riveted to my inbox reading your comments and emails about the ipad. thanks for all the links! i was pretty much sold when i went HERE. isn't that cool? isn't that fun? don't you wanna do it? me too!
maybe you also want to know how to make rounded corners on your photos that you post to your blog…or not. if so, here's one way how in photoshop cs:
1. use the rounded rectangle tool to create the shape (radius 120 px)
2. from the layers palatte/window make the opacity 0% then select shape 1
3. click on PATHS in the layers window
4. click on arrow on the right and scroll to MAKE SELECTION
5. now click back on LAYERS and select the background
6. SELECT -> inverse
7. EDIT -> clear
8. FLATTEN -> voila!

you can keep your I-pad and washi tape but please send me that red pot with the succulent in it right this minute. This very exact second. Come on! I’m waiting.

Being creative goes way beyond paper and pencil these days. If you can create with it, get it. We all find inspiration in different places. I don’t have one, but if you get yours and don’t like it, I will adopt it free of charge.

YES…it’s all that excitement in the doing that is the best part of creativity, the results are whatever ends up being there and the hope is, it; whatever is created, reminds me of my humaneness, that my time here is fleeting and best get down to enjoying it while I can. Enjoy whatever new toy you bring home. If I know you, will get miles and miles of pleasure out of it. Nothing ever gets wasted in your hands far as I can tell. VBG!!!!!!

Big difference between the before and after. I had to look carefully to match it up. It came out wonderfully. Letting go and stand back makes us go in closer and create new things… Thanks for sharing. Where exactly do you get that Washi tape? I don’t recall to ever have seen it in UK…

Love your color choices, makes my heart sing. I love all the diffeent taps, makes me happy. My soul sings when I work on my art and I forget about time, eating and of course any job I don’t want to do. Enjoy and create color. Can’t wait for our next trip.

Love the before and after shots, funny how quickly a direction can change.
Sounds like you are going the senseless route?
