Fabulous pictures!! They evoked the smell of live oak and eucalyptus woods like nothing else has since I lived in this area over 40 years ago!!!! (as a young teen my family lived in Santa Barbara and we used to visit sheep farmers in this area.!! I have never had a picture evoke a smell that transported me~! TOO COOL!

That is the most beautiful bewitching bark I have EVER seen! Your photos are so enticing. I’m wondering if there is a little cabin like that here in the Northeast waiting for me….
I’m so glad you had a restful and nature-filled revival. We all need it.

I would love to know where your lovely cabin is. It looks like a wonderful place to visit to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life.

Loved the photos! I SO need a walk in the woods right now!
Suspension bridge=Ack! Bark patterns, twiggy hideout, and ferns=Love.
Thanks for sharing, as always. 🙂
Luscious. Just the sight of the bridge spiked my heart rate a bit. Love the trees hanging over the road. When I was a kid, I used to “think I was a rabbit”…this would have been the ultimate place to live as a bunny!
Such lovely pics! Sometimes I think fall is my least favorite season, just because of how dead things appear at this time of year. These photos remind me that there can be beauty in all of these things.
Were all these taken within walking distance of the cabin? What a gorgeous area. Are you going to share the location with us or must we play Where’s Mary Ann and sleuth it out ourselves? I totally understand if you want to keep it all to yourself lol.
This just all looks like a marvelously peaceful few days. I think I need to find a cabin in the woods for my next vacay.
wow! it’s like a fairy land!!!! just dreamy! i love the woods, so peaceful and calm. lovey photos thanks so much for sharing!! i too want to know if you walked across the bridge, i don’t think i could do it, well maybe if i was alone with no one hurrying me and making the bridge sway and shake!
