In between travel journal shots I'll share photos of where I'm headed this weekend.
Off for a couple of days seaside. I love the wild central and northern California coastline. I've missed it.
And I relish the long drive through autumn hills.
Looking forward to a good visit with a sweet friend. We have a lot of catching up to do.
I want to putter alone down this beach and feel the cold ocean on my toes. Sit down with my binoculars and look for seals and birds.
Walk in the dark along the wooden boardwalks. Fall asleep listening to the wild surf.
All of that.
The Northern California coast is one of my favorite places on earth. If I didn’t love living in a city I’d be moving there. I wish it were a day trip away.
Love the wild CAL coast…my favorite places are Monterey/Carmel, Pacific Grove, La Jolla, Coronado. I grew up in a little beach town north of San Diego…now I live in the Intermountain West, the high desert which I passionately love in a completely different way. sort of like having two fabulous lovers, each enjoyed for their uniqueness. Imagine this coming from an old woman…but in our mind we never age.
I haven’t had the pleasure of traveling farther north than Bodega Bay…have yet to see Mendocino…it’s on the bucket list.
Safe journey and the Autumn colors have been spectacular this year. I have not touched sand or beach or ocean in many years and I find I miss it. I used to live very close to the beach in So Cal. Your journal is such a delight!
Greetings Moss Cottage, Wow traveling along the waters coastal line is a blessing, I do wish I could be there. Your journal pages well along with the waters waves are so wonderful.Have a wonderful weekend,
Always,
Linda
One of my favorite place, the northern Californian coast. take lots of warm clothes that wind blows cold even as the sun shines.
Love looking at your journals, gives me inspiration to work on my journals. Enjoy your trip this weekend, you so deserve it.
Lovely vintage pages! have a lovely trip!
Sigh! I am missing the ocean these days. Just a spell I’m going through in adjusting to the high dessert. Did you say ‘long road trip’? Nothing like it to clear your head. Have a sweet weekend. Make it memorable … silly comment isn’t it! Especially to one who who was born under the ‘make it memorable sign’. It’s simply in your genes … what a great inheritance. Donna
It sounds heavenly! I love the central coast of California. Have fun!!
Mary Ann – How do you travel so often and still work full time? I would be craving sleep days like no tomorrow! What’s your secret?
Enjoy, have a blast, take lots of amazing photos, relax, drink some fabulous, wonderful adult beverage and have an awesome time. As always your journal pages are a delight.
I hope you get to feel the white Carmel beach sands between your toes!
Cannot wait for a getaway car of my very own.
Oh, my, so jealous of this upcoming trip! Have a wonderful time. Love the journal pages. 🙂
