My inspiration book grows! These are colors, patterns, shapes, photos, combinations I want to look at over and over. Not really things I want to buy. I’m just enjoying putting pretty things together.
You will recognize some of these as my Paris photos. I have some 1930’s National Geographics and Life around here, but not many new magazines. So I print a lot of things that catch my eye on design blogs. It really is like a pinterest board that I get to decorate.

I love your inspiration pages. I keep doing this but not on a regular basis. Seeing this wants me to sit down and go through my stuff. These pages look happy and energizing – exactly what I need right now! Have fun going on wit it!

Love your inspiration journal. Mine is done (cover and pages) and several other books are in the works. I will have covers, pages and bind them together after my knee replacement surgery in 2 weeks. I will bring all my art goodies up stairs and play FTB while I get better. By the way I am 69 and even though my knees aren’t good I have the soul and spirt of a 8 year old so never worry about getting older. You like yourself better and are happy in your own skin, can’t get any better then that.

im a use-the-real-mccoy- kind of person. nothing looks, feels, smells, or crinkles like the real thing. when i use/look at my envelope on a collage or in a book i will remember the freezing cold day I found it at a flea market in paris. the story and the sensory experience that go along with it are one of a kind. same goes with all the little bits i collect, whether from ebay or from the street or an old bookstore or flea market abroad.

I don’t know if you’ve ever seen this Flickr group, but there’s a lot of great stuff at http://www.flickr.com/groups/collageimages/ (including some scanned-in stuff of my own.) Great for printing out the perfect piece of ephemera — and you don’t have to worry about ruining the original.
oh i love this much more then pinterest because you get to pick it up and hold it in your hands, feel the texture, touch the paper….oooooh i LOVE it! thanks so much for sharing your pages! and i wanted to thank you, i was looking through one of your older journals and saw you put some coins under clear packing tape and i thought what a cool idea. the very next day i’m looking through a book i got at a garage sale and what do i find? a letter from 1912 and 2 four leaf clovers! the clover look perfect under the tape and they are safe from breaking too! both now in my journal as i just did a page about them last night! xoxox julie
