Sunday. The weight of the atmosphere = perfect. Indoor/outdoor temps exactly the same.
I keep drifting outside for awhile then back in again. The Girl Who Played With Fire has officially become unputdownable.
Last night I began to piece together my Istanbul travel journal. I experiment on my sister’s first. I get the double bed instead of the twin at the apartment in exchange for making her travel journal. She agrees to get a cab instead of powerwalking uphill through all of Istanbul. If she doesn’t agree on that last point I throw her travel journal into the Bosphorous. Simple.
Travel journal updates all week. Stay tuned.
Ben’s quirky visual journal. Dig.
I love every single word Jonas Gerard says on this video. Also love the way he dances while painting. Enchanting.

Are you using a 3 ring binder for the travel journals? Did you make them or are they store bought? I can’t tell by looking at the photo with them standing up. They’re heavenly.

Love the journal. Wait until you read Larsson’s follow up books. I had to stay up and read each one in a night! Be sure to get the 2nd and 3rd together. Once you read the 2nd, you have to go right to the 3rd.
Thanks for all the inspiration.

Thank you for sharing the Jonas Gerard video. I love his gravely voice and his spirit. Visited his gallery in Asheville last year and hope to visit his studio next time we go.
I’ve been resisting the dragon tattoo series of books, but with your “unputdownable” recommendation, I’m thisclose to giving in!

Love the coolio journal pages. I am about half way thru The Girl Who Played With Fire and I totally agree…I just don’t want to stop reading. Already added it to my Netflix queue, as well as the 3rd one. Loved seeing the first one on film (as well as reading the book).

Love Jonas, watching him paint, listening to his wisdom, well it’s as good as it gets.
You make the most amazing journals, I’d make a lot of sacrifices for it too, your sisters a smart woman!

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED!!!!!! the video. OMG…I want to just sit in his studio and take it all in. He totally ‘gets it’ I think I just found my verision of heaven…a big studio, lots of buckets and jars of paint EVERYWHERE; an abundance of big, blank canvases and being told to just go play. Seriously…and speaking of heaven…I am know transporting myself through the wires and will materialize in any second now in your pergola. Pretty please…have a tall, frosty cocktail waiting…and your sis’s journal is amazingly cool…great trade…wishing you a fantastic week with your craft monkeys.

I want to be Jonas Gerard when I grow up. Thanks for the video.
Your new backyard is a little slice of heaven. It’s so right for you. I hope your sister likes her travel journal as much as I do… and rewards you with plenty of cab rides.
