I love everything about your video’s. Love the sign language that goes along with each page…and yes the cheek pinching was awesome…I laughed. Did you pinch her cheeks for real too? I bet she was a fabulous cook. I am so envious of your travels, but have a sense of where you’ve been because you share your journals. Thank you Thank you so much Mary Ann. You inspire me in ways no one else has touched upon.

I nearly passed out from watching your video. I completely stopped breathing. thank you. oh, my: thank you.
Questions.
(1) the photos you used in the travel journal & in your blog: do you print those at home or at Target or Shutterfly or what?
(2) Who created your web site/blog?
(3) how do you insert photos with those really great postcard “frames” &/or handwriting around them?
I loved watching your fingers walking to the special bits on the page, pointing them our to us, and tickling or pinching them! wonderful, wonderful journal!
thanks for sharing!
Frankly, I think I am missing the part of a brain that can gather together such lusciousness and make it make sense and weave together and hold the parts that were all separate yesterday and put them together.
A triumph!!
Crushed I am by ALL the beauty in this post. LOVED seeing your Merida journal, so nice to see it live, page by beautiful page. You must be starting on your Istanbul one soon? Holy is what we bring to the page, indeed. Summer rules!
I LOVED that video! Those 4 minutes went by way too fast. Thanks for sharing! Your bird walking at the end had me cracking up!

You are sooooo talented. I love your wonderful sense of humor that flows so effortlessly as your hands happily show us your fun filled creation! Thank you for all of your creative inspiration!
I was fascinated with how expressive your hands were during the video. As wonderful as your journal is, your hands with their “tickling” and “tapping” and cheek pinching added a dimension that was even more personal. Have you seen the documentary 1000 Journals? One of the participants talks about how the journal she held and/or worked in felt “holy” to her. Watching your hands touch your journal, turning the pages and pointing out little details, felt the same way to me. Thank you for sharing your beautiful, “holy” art with us.
hee hee – love how you pinched Lupita’s cheeks! so cute!! This journal is awesome!!!

Mary Ann, you have no idea how much I envy you being able to have hibiscuses (hibisqui?) We had one when I was little and I’ve always wanted one of my own but I’ve never lived where you could grow them. Please keep on showing pictures of the ones you have.

Love,Love,Love all those flaps and fold out pieces. I want that tape, I know you said you got it on etsy but I don’t find the clear decorated. UGH!!! Not that I would have a travel journal as great as yours, heck I hope to travel first! LOVE YOUR ART!
INSPIRATION lives here with the music on, dancing. A frilly drink and bare feet and a big, big box of candy. The air smells like cake and flowers. Cats loll on every surface. This is a very, VERY good place.

Happy 4th. stay safe and have an amazing weekend Mary Ann. You are the BESTest ever when it comes to expression and sharing it.

Life is holy. Sadly, most religions do not convey this message anymore.
Your Mérida travel journal is delightful and the singing of the birds was the “dot on the i”, with all those wonderful birds in the journal.

We all have our own “sense” of religion, be it formal or personal. We all practice our own prayers in such different ways. I would never say that you are not “religious”. I would say that you have such a reverence for life, for color, senses, awareness and the opening beauty around you. Look at what you create and what you do for others and for those little children. I would say that you embody (sp?) the goodness that is inherent in all religions. A reverence for life and thankfulness and joy…what could be more of a prayer than that?
We all need to practice awareness of the wonder and beauty around us and send out a joyful thanks in our own way. I see and know that you do that.
Best, e.
