Oh how I am sinking deeply into these rain soaked days at home! Padding around the house. Watching the little pools of water forming
outside in the garden. Every petal and leaf drenched. I could stare
out the window for hours. With all of the storms rolling in off the Pacific, one after the other, the snowpack high in the Sierras is growing
deeper and deeper. Its the source of our water. Sometimes things
that are good for the earth aren't so good for people. But for this person, all of those melodic raindrops are just fine.
And in the travel journal, more flaps with brochure-paper photos on back. The shiny bits came from the same little sewing shop that had the long strands of sequins.
I'm lazily scrolling through my photos and printing my favorites. I
have a lot to choose from. I used my Fuji point and shoot that's about the size of a matchbox. (the Nikon is way too bulky and heavy for travel)
I don't recommend it at all which is why I'm not mentioning its name. Seriously annoying features. Everything in miniature.
Maybe my big bear mitts are part of the problem. I prefer to blame the camera.

I’ll see your wet drippy window and raise you a barrel of rain.

Hope your hibiscuses (hibisci?) didn’t slide down the hill and your kittys kept dry through all the rain.
All the cactus and trees are happy now.

Wow. Your journal is amazing! I love everything about it. My Nikon is a beast, too, and can be a pain to lug around.

I just found your blog and your journals have captured me. They appear so random. By the looks of your traveling “kit” do you journal while traveling? I have years of travels piled up to “journal” and we all know when that will ever happen! Thank you for sharing. Keep creating…

I am a little ways up in Lompoc and am thouroughly enjoying all the rain. We moved here from Florida in June and it is one thing I miss very much, pouring rain and lightning. I am trying to absorb it into my pores!

am lovin up your journal pages and glad to hear you are enjoying all of the rain. I love rainy days that make me want to curl up with a good book or get lost working on artwork. Rain at night is especially delightful to fall asleep too. It makes things grow and you are growing beautiful pages.

Are you still off-track (school, I mean).
I love LA rainy days. I think i’ll get some of that brochure paper; I often find cheapo photo paper at Dollar Tree. I’m not a connoisseur so I don’t know from good papers in this case.
