Playing in Photoshop with photos from my digital stash. Because it’s my party I can do what I want to.
A velvety afternoon nap surrounded by pillows on the couch. Sinking deeply into an afternoon of doing nothing. I like to bow to my slothful nature during the first days of my vacation.

You work magic! Your openness to creating in the moment-yet with purpose (it pleases you)-is evident in the work of your students. Anything goes and mistakes aren’t wrong. what a teacher you are! I am smiling from ear to ear watching the little dumplings and their creations. Now I’ll get busy on my journal cover and think of you and your vacation with kitty and libations! Enjoy your jolly holidays!

I like ALL the pages.. because the monkeys are super crafters! …. for example
the sensitively cut shapes ( ie: the citrus colored collage) in the the middle book.
They each had something exciting to offer. Thanks! and Merry Vacating!

You make me smile with my whole heart…you make me smile as a former teacher for so many years.
Mostly, you make me smile with wild abandon with the love that you give to those children. They all deserve it so much .
I love what you do, Mary Ann. Truly I do.
Have a wonderful rest, a beautiful holiday season…and know, please, that someone out there admires so much what you do.
( and also know that I have a new computer and keyboard, and I am so dumb with typing….and finding the correct keys.) Whew, I am a wonder!!!

Is that dappled sun that I see on the table with your fabulous cheetah glasses?? I am so jealous. It has been fogged in and 47 degrees here most of today. Love the second video – he sounds a bit nervous but still proud about what he has created. These are darling videos Mary Ann – congratulations on passing on the love of art. I am going to try this with the fourth graders next year. Cheers!
