Alas, my online class has ended and all of the boys & girls have flown the coop. Armed with their cans of paint and hand-cut stencils they are going forth to populate the world with stencilry. Lock your doors and draw the shades. (especially if you’re wearing a white t-shirt) They are an enthusiastic bunch. You heard it here first.
On Monday at 7:55 a.m. I tilt back on my axis towards my primary job as monkey whisperer. Think of me will you? And send me fortitude. I will need it to switch from my preference as night owl, to early morning riser.
In honor of Mama’s Day tomorrow I share with you a photo of my own mama, taken in 1954.
Nighty night (blows air kisses) I’m retiring to my art table to add the writing to the page above that I just finished this evening. While, I might add, drinking a turquoise martini.

The album! 🙂
Your mamma looks like she knew how to take on the world.
Beauty inside and out, I am sure.

I’ll be signing up for the August class. You work is so exciting. I can’t wait to learn how to make stencil art.

The little monos y monas have missed you mucho I am sure…but…BIG SIGH!…it is a shift in the old brain pan to go back to the day job that allows for the night frolics. Keep buying those lottery tickets (“you can’t win if you don’t play”)…

That’s one sassy looking woman. I bet she bred some daughter just like her! Curious where she was then.
My calmest energy as you renter the monkey house.

Our mothers are truly amazing!! Beautiful, spirited, clever, alluring…all that and more!! Your page is beautiful.
Happy Mother’s Day to your mom and you (in honor of furbaby mommy’s day)!
Good luck with the monkey whispering tomorrow. I will have my own to contend with, but from the adult end, LOL.

It is always good to see our mamas young and sassy (hopefully); we forget so easily that they had a life before us. Each generation grabs on and holds to the idea that THEY were the first to experience…whatever…. and on it goes.
That would be a cute stencil.
