On this, the last day of my 45 day vacation, I leapt out of bed, eager to get a head start on my last day of rigorous leisure. Eager to find some small domestic adventure in which to lose myself.
I blog hopped, I read the digital newspaper, I may have done the dishes. That could have been yesterday…I completed a search and rescue of Visual Journal 10 and happily hummed and pasted and taped my way into oblivion.
I photoshopped myself up a little mosaic (above) of recent photos. I Big Huge Labbed my way to a mosaic of plants seen at a botanical garden on the Mendocino Coast. That middle photo of the moon was taken 3 or 4 nights ago from my driveway using my car as a tripod.
Tomorrow I will rejoin my wild herd of little punks and get back to the business of educating. Of asking and answering questions and solving problems of epic proportions. Above all I will be listening. They’ll have lots to tell me.

You took that moon shot balancing the camera on your car? It turned out better than if you’d had a Hubble in your backyard! Quit your day job – NASA needs you!! XOXO,S.

I love the journal pages and all of your photos. I had to laugh at you using your car as a tripod for the moon photo. Hubby uses me for his tripod if he needs one because I’m taller than him. Then he tells me to be really still. HA
Thanks for the blog links, great stuff to browse.
I hope you have a great first day back and I know the kiddos will have lots of fun things to tell you. Maybe you can share some of your adventures with them and they will be quiet for a few seconds. There is always hope for that.

Well I sure feel like I’ve had a vacation, in full 3 d sensurround smellavision, too. Not only do you manage to keep up with these bloggy morsels, but you are ENTIRELY, (well maybe eb has a bit to blame too) responsible for the return of my journal romance. Hope the little rug rats are nice to you.

Thanks for sharing your vacation with us! Rigourous leisure is pretty productive, if you ask me.
Listening is one of the most important attributes of a good teacher, and I am not surprised that you know that.
Looking forward to hearing what the punks are up to.
I bet they would love the scrappy journals. Long arm stapler??
