I've added a playlist to the blog sidebar. If you find it annoying there are a couple of things you can do: adjust the volume on your computer's speakers, or press the pause button in the playlist.
If you want to listen to the playlist at another time you can click POPOUT PLAYLIST. This will take you to a stand-alone playlist that you can listen to in the background. You can even bookmark it, and just return to the playlist. I just discovered this feature. When I go to blogs with music I like I often do this now if I really like the music.
Half the joy of perusing your blog has been having in the background music that is dear to you. It’s lovely and only adds a touch more romanticism to your imaginative work.

Last night I heard Voco for the first time. What a group. It was a small venue (Claremont Folk Music Center) and it just blew me away. By the way, I now listen to Balmorhea because of you! Also, my husband and I can’t stop talking about the floss trees. His office complex was full of them. So beautiful. One stopped us in our tracks in Mimi’s otherwise so boring parking lot.

oh thankyou for telling me how to switch it off.. I would hate to have to skip your wonderful blog because i did not know how to turn it down. A pet peeve is sound on blogs… intruding in my mental meanderings. And yours is a must visit every day.
I’m not sure if if it is unique to my computer but the selection “All the Wild Horses” plays at chipmunk speed. This isn’t happening for other pieces.
