Autumn is in the air in Los Angeles as our day and nighttime temperatures inch closer and closer together. Today our high was 76 and our low will be 62. A touch of coolness on the skin at all times with plenty of sunshiny warmth if the need should arise. A nice dousing of rain would really top things off, but it’s a bit early to start dreaming of WET. Besides, that’s why I’m going to Oregon. I’m hoping at least one of my days there will be of the dramatic thunderstorm variety complete with bone rattling thunder and bucket-sized raindrops.
Some of the mailart I dispatched out to Minnesota and Iowa arrived.
More of that tomorrow.
One of the kiddos in the class is wheelchair bound for the next couple of months as she awaits her new leg braces. Fights are practically breaking out over who gets to push. A hiss and baring of the teeth settle the troops down. Everyone is turning out to be remarkably good attendents. I like the intense concentration displayed as we brave the long walk across the school yard towards the main campus.
Some pushers can’t believe their good fortune at getting to be the master and commander of the wheelchair.
I wasn’t kidding about the teensy weensy suitcase. This is what I ended up with. It holds either 1 large cat, 2 medium cats, or 3 baby cats. Buck still thinks travelling is for the birds, but he isn’t ruling out a few naps in the suitcase.
Only one blog to share today, but I promise…it’s a KEEPER: True Nature Don’t take my word for it, go see for yourself.

I can remember as a kid what a treat it was to ‘get’ to push someone in a wheelchair. Thanks for that “true nature” link…looks nice.

It’s so great to see kids fighting to help out. It just warms my heart to see such kindness. 🙂

Oh my gosh!! So cute, everyone wants to puch her… What a bunch of cuties… I remember when I was a kid I would pray that I would break a limb so that I could be doted on by my friends.. Alas, I never broke a thing… And, isn’t that good in the end?? Hahahaha. Cool pieces! And the weather is slowly turning here, oh, please, more coolness, please….. Have fun in Oregon. I am sooo jealous!!! 😉

You will get rain in Oregon! I live in Wa but still Portland metro and we have been getting rain the past week. The coast is always worse (or better in your case), rain, huge waves and windy all at the same time.:)
