Do you think it’s normal for a 44 year-old woman with a trick knee to be preoccupied with learning this manuevar? The truth is last year I took the MSF (motorcycle safety foundation) course and passed. That means I passed the driving portion of the test. That means I just have to pass the written portion of the test. Put those two together and see a big M on my driver’s license. If you live within a 100 mile radius of LA I know you are gasping for breath and white knuckling your mouse and calculating the statistical probability that you might ever have the misfortune of crossing paths with me while on the road. Oh, come on. Don’t be like that. I’m not even shopping for a bike. Yet.
If Lianne, my favorite little hause frau, who took the course with me, would stop having tupperwear parties, hitting the kid’s birthday circuit, and attending scrapbook retreats long enough to study for the test with me, we might make our dream of becoming motorcycle mamas and joining the IRON ANGELS more than just a pipe dream. Next week during Grammar I’m going to ask my 2nd graders to identify whether that is:
A. a sentence fragment
B. run-on sentence
C. other
In the meantime I’m going to continue studying this diagram.
Forgive me for not telling you the title of the book I was reading yesterday. I assumed you’d click on the photo of the book and read it upside down like good little detectives. It’s off to the right over there. The Way The Crow Flies.
More purple in the form of a pretty Princess Flower spotted this morning on my morning stroll. The journal offerings for the day are from my autumn 2006 visual journal and a page from the current journal.

After taking both test and finally getting on the road with a motorcycle, you are going to leap off a perfectly great ride to get back in a car? (smile) or maybe that was the reason for learning to ride a motorcycle in the first place. If it was up to me, I would be reading the reserve car to motorcycle manuevar. It would certainly make car pooling much more colorful

You better look for some of those retractable suction cup things that you can attach to your hands like spider man uses before you try the bike to car switcheroo trick. I can do it without the aid of mechanical devices, but I had to work up to it. It is not for the faint of heart like you.

I spent some time on the back of a BMW in the 70’s. I highly recommend it. Great to see a photo of the person under the Bear Mask too. Can you fit a helmet over that? Probably a violation of Motorcycle Safety!

So, I see the manual lists leather pants and leather jacket…I assume you have the proper outfit because what is any activity worth except the proper outfit? b) run-on

I too have a want to ride a motorcycle…a trike that is…I don’t trust myself on two wheels. hehe A custom built trike just for me! 😀 I am 42 now and don’t see it happening for another 10 years. My hair should be completely white by then at the rate it is going now and can picture my white long hair flowing in the wind as I putt down the road on my bike! Love your journal entries and that book sounds worth hunting down. Cute kitty pic btw! 🙂
