Someone is holding my sister’s mailart for ransom. I’m sure they’ll be contacting her any day with a drop-off location in some remote Kansas farmtown. On the other hand, pony express just isn’t what it used to be. The horses nowadays are so unreliable. They take way too many apple/sugar cube breaks and just don’t take their work seriously. I’m not sure what happened to the goods, but no matter. We photograph all evidence coming in and out of Moss Cottage.
That being the case I’m sure it will come as no surprise that I took photos of my New Shoes. As I’m walking through the roughly cobbled streets of San Miguel de Allende my feet will be safely enveloped in a firm cushion of softness. Last year I made the mistake of wearing open-toed sandals and was happily picking my way through a street under construction one afternoon when BAM a giant slab of stone fell directly on top of my big toe. A concerned crowd of dusty hombres surrounded me and lifted the slab off my foot. This year I prefer to keep my dignity and toenails intact. My New Shoes are sensible, very comfortable, and very very large. These represent my dressy shoes to go with my evening attire. For daytime looks I have a sensible pair of equally large, yet surprisingly lightweight hiking shoes.
And finally below some mailart that safely reached its new home. I love it when that happens.

I had a scorpion dream LAST NIGHT. Go figure.
A Sequined heart? what beauty!
and speaking of beauty, everyone in my family wraps their HUGE feet with KEENS. It’s all KEENS, all the time.
Can’t wait for your San M. missives!!!!
