In between bouts of spraypainting, working in my visual journal, napping, reading, working briefly in the garden I am taking a break from my leisurely schedule to add a short post with some pictures of San Miguel that I took last year. Looking through the photos from last year and finding some to share is making my heart race. I love this place like it were a person. Wanna know what else I love? Listening to James Blunt’s CD Back to Bedlam which I’m doing RIGHT NOW. I like to imagine he’s singing You’re Beautiful to me. I do feel lovely with my spraypaint manicure, spray adhesive in my hair, smudged badly stenciled t-shirt, lopsided grin, and wild look in my eye. I just noticed the CD cover has the songs listed on the back in a v.v.v. cool font. Hmmmm…wonder where I could get a cool alphabet stencil with that exact font? Yep, the spraypaint bug has bitten. HARD. Journal page post coming tonight.
About the house…I stayed here last year. All the rooms have these amazing boveda ceilings with big old iron/glass skylights that let the sunlight & moonlight pour down into the house. The most important thing is the dining room table where I can spread out my visual journal & supplies. 17 days.

It looks amazing there. But, they don’t have a Trader Joe’s do they? How will you survive?
