We had no idea the weather would be so chilly in May. I packed a couple of sweaters at the last minute and was so glad of it! We wore at least 3 layers most days, but in my opinion that is perfect walking and bus/metro riding weather. I am not a fan of heat and we gratefully experienced none. I got a pair of waterproof Hokas at the last minute and they are my new official trip shoes. Pure comfort and practicality. I don’t know what kind of feet you have, but my feet and knees need maximum shock absorption on cobblestones. For that matter, here is the link to the mini magnetic palette I used for my gouache. I remove the little pans before adding my Schmincke Horadam gouache. Love it so much! (yes I still shop at Amazon, deal with it muchachas)
Our neighborhood in the 17e arrondissement – Les Batignolles – was the perfect fit for us. I can’t recommend it enough if you like things a bit more off the beaten track, but still accessible to the rest of Paris. I wish I had some good photos of the 2 parks closest to our apartment – Square des Batignolles and Parc Clichy-Batignolles – Martin Luther King. How we loved them both! There are so many gorgeous green spaces in Paris- the heart and lungs of the city and we came upon so many in our rambles.
The vintage class I’m offering for 3 months access this summer is Remains of the Day. This time I’m charging $3 for access. Almost free, but with a little kickback for Madame Moss to purchase a few tubes of gouache. The nice thing is that registration is now automatic, so you can simply sign up and begin immediately without waiting for me to send secret decoder passwords through the astral realms.
