hilarious day in the classroom.
funny valentines placed in a basket then everyone closes their eyes and chooses one to read dramatically.
i let them eat candy.
we watched 12 minutes of the sound of music.
someone said, “maria is just like me always getting in trouble!”
here, dear readers, are some valentines for YOU.
in case you didn’t get one!
yesterday we made freestyle valentine envelopes.
life is good in chinatown. yes it is.
happy valentines. sending you some pink heart-shaped smoke signals tonight.
xo
These are so great! Thanks for sharing them. They really get to the “heart” of the day!
just precious. you’re very lucky, mary ann.
This pushing sixty year old wants to know where such kitty stickers might be found …
Thanks for the chuckles. Some of them really got into this assignment. Tater tots and chocolate hearts….. 🙂
Dying! Esp. “Get me tater tots” “your hair is like shreaded money”, and “Now let’s go to the store and get a mask for your face”. Bwahahaha! Those are seriously cute!
That was the best part of my day today. Thanks Mary Ann, and art monkeys!
Cannot love these more! YOU ROCK!
favorite class in 2 decades as a teacher. really dear children. every. single. one.
i hit the JACKPOT!
These are so hilarious, and so brilliant – it truly gives me hope for the future – they are so lucky to be studying with a teacher who works from the heart.
They had me at “your hair is like shredded money.” Yes, I think I’m also in love with your class and their teacher. As long as the lamps remain lit and noses resemble candy or fruit we will be okay. xo
Spicy juices in the grass with chocolate eyeballs. Seem to remember that in the 70’s. Just love the gentle fun of this. The planet needs teachers like you. X
Thanks for sharing. So dang cute and funny. 💕💕💕
Oh my, what delight! Let’s enjoy our life and go to Paris to buy a hippo! Why ever not??
I think that I am in love with your class and their teacher. 💕
Oh, how wonderful these are. Your students are so lucky to have you as their teacher. Now, I must go buy a mask for my face. Ha ha ha.
this would make a wonderful book or booklet for each child on the last day of school
What a great way to share Valentines with the kids! They must love y our class. So fun!
Sooooo sweet! Many references to food, mostly sweets but what a clever group
“I’ll say I do and that shall do.” Oh if it were only that easy and true! I hope that it will be for that little writer. Thanks for sharing – way much more fun than “how to cook a turkey”!!!
If only love was easy s buying someone tator tots, the world would be a much better place!
thank you so much – Love from France
So great.
Your teaching environment, their minds, and sharing with us.
Thanks you so much! ♥
you are the most wonderful teacher and artist. Thanks for always cheering me up.
Love from New Zealand x
You are doing good things with these kids if they have this kind of imagination- awesome!
“Your eyes are like 2 chocolate truffles….”
“Your mouth is like a croissant….”
“Let’s go to the donut store and buy their kitchen.”
This child may very will be the 2042 lead food writer for the NY Times!
Thanks for the Valentines. I love every one of them and had such fun reading them out loud, dramatically. Wish I had been a fly on the wall in your classroom today to have enjoyed the children’s reading. This was almost as good.
Happy, happy hearts and flowers day to you, dear Mary Ann.
XO
I’m a little concerned. I think you might need to see a doctor, especially after reading your nose is like a watermelon.
Priceless. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for sharing the Valentines! I swear some made me laugh out loud. Those are wonderful, sweet treasures, I loved every one.
Terrific valentines smiles, nothing like the poetic imagination of Littles! xox
Oh my gosh!! So, so hilarious! Days like this must make up for all the other kinds of days!
