great scott! is that a pineapple?! yes, it is. i saw it at the market. by the time i reached the checkout someone had put it in my cart. i think my alter ego. or my super ego. or my id. i get them all mixed up.
i had intended to draw/paint it 3 different ways and maybe start an entire sketchbook devoted to … PINEAPPLES!
that idea was short-lived. now i think i'll just carve out the pineapple and use it as a cocktail glass. add a tray of ice, half a bottle of vodka, and a straw.

Gurl! You’re in luck. Google Pineapple vinegar and do it. No pain, no strain, and magical to do. Use the vinegar in your summer salads all summer long.
All that said, I started mine on April 27. It’s smelling vinegary and has a big thick mother forming. I licked the lid last time I shook it and it tastes pretty darn good. Evidently pineapple vinegar is a staple in Mexican cookery. Haven’t found one other person in my circle who has ever heard of it, lol.
the many, many uses of pineapples. why, of course. Did you know they are a Southern symbol of hospitality? Yeah for cocktails!

You should buy two pineapples – one to eat or sip from and one to draw. Then you can eat the second one when it’s portrait is complete.
I drew a pineapple once. It took forever!! and my eyes started crossing trying to get all the points and pattern right. You did a great job on yours.
Do what they are best for chopping up and eating. Yummm they fall in my cart all the time!! Draw one. Hmm that’s an idea next time one drops in. Yum yum.
Pineapples are delicious with a sprinkle of salt; it brings out the sweetness. On a hot day iced cold pineapple slices are heavenly. Enjoy! Carrie
That pineapple wouldn’t last 2 seconds around here. We have to gobble them up before the ants find it. Ever seen a black pineapple? It isn’t pretty. EEEEWWWW.
Wow, that sounds delicious! Now I am hungry for pineapple. I get into food habits. It’s been grapefruit for a long time. Juice, or cut in half, it is my current, first thing in the shopping cart, item. I bought new grapefruit knives and grapefruit spoons. Delicious with a little brown sugar sprinkled on top!
