the sky was doing this about an hour ago. i watched from my art room window.
i'm still fooling around like this.
rain is on the way. maybe a drop or 2 will splash out of this river of sky and land on moss cottage. highly doubtful.
this is my official flower book. cause i like it like that.
weekend starts tomorrow at 2:19 p.m.
getaway car is packed
black desert sky is calling.
i hope it's freezing. and i have to build a fire. in the woodstove.
that could happen.

Woot WooT!!!! oh that sky is incredible and I’m sitting here just glowing because just a few wee hours ago I was planted on the shores of Lake Superior watching the sun rise over the lake which was alive with rolling waves, for 3 days the lake had been like glass, with occasional ripples, sent scattering with the lights winds that were whispering and playing with the last few falling leaves and I was planted in my perch, a room right above the lake. It was ‘freezing” but I opened the windows anyway, kicked up the heat so I could listen to the lake ‘song’ splashing water on rocks. It was GLORIOUS and I was a good camper. I brought my sketchbook and watercolors and brushes and pens and I had every intention of spending a few hours with them but alas, an outdoor, pool and hot tub was just around the bend, tucked away in between the rocks and cliffs, hot and toasty and thus I spent an over abundance of time relaxing and bobbing in my own made up waves, playing tag with the lake water just out of reach and then it snowed and the wind really kicked up…it was AHMAZING…so I’m still half back and partly still planted in front of the lake so I I’m catching your R n R mode in big gulp-fulls, relishing every moment right there with you in spirit…can ya tell I’m still riding the wave of having gone ‘off radar’ 😉

What I wouldn’t give to get out of Dodge. Maybe I will. Have a great time and listen for coyotes.

If you’re headed for the Mojave desert you can expect wind, no rain & certainly not freezing this time of year. Nary a drop of rain is in the forecast.
I envy you these weekend getaways. Are you traveling with someone or doing this all on your lonesome?

We watched that So Cal sky last night too! About 35 miles north of you! Incredible. I think the desert is supposed to have some rain Friday and part of Saturday and be cool too! Great fire building weather! Have fun.

Super happy bright and beautiful colors and flowers. May I know what do you use to paint the pink pretties (flowers, I mean)? Is it water color? Thanks and have a great weekend!! Carrie
