my friend susan has a tenant, brenda henriques, who designed these spectacular window displays at KOI in south pasadena. i drove by the other day to have a look.
ari seth cohen from advanced style, was here last fall for a book signing. all the advancing & advanced fashionistas were there in their hottest attire.
but this post is really about these stunning window displays brenda designed. she also designs jewelry which you can see HERE.
i haven't been here in 20 years, since it was sonny's. if you're from pasadena/san gabriel valley you may know about that old store of which i speak. or not. either way…
how fabulous are these windows?!
Mary Ann, thanks for this great post on Brenda’s work! Your pics are wonderful!!
These are delightful///especially that mermaid’s dress in the last shot!
Thank you, thank you for the share.
Peace, Beauty and Quietude for the weekend,

These window displays have blown me away!!! Thanks for sharing.
So, tomorrow I’m driving right down Fair Oaks to see these fabulous windows! I’d almost forgotten the more recent incarnations of Sonny’s; what a wonderful place that was, with its little stores inside the big one; many happy hours…
Thanks for the reminder that part of it is still here!
And thanks for Sketchbookery and for Dispatch. Thanks. Someday, in the grand L. Park where I’ve gone forever I’ll see you with your sketchbook. I’ll be the one with the small black poodle. He doesn’t draw, but otherwise he’s perfect.
I just got back from lunch and was checking my email when I see these wonderful images that look so familiar. I just walked past them 20 minutes ago from lunch at AI Japanese Restaurant a few doors down. Small world.
