pam came up to see me for a working visit yesterday. i'm producing her first venture into online teaching – by that i mean she's doing all the work and i'm just behind the scenes, tying up loose ends and keeping the wheels on the cart. a pam garrison style journal course, taught by pam, and featuring a great many visual journaling tips, techniques, and demos that will thrill and delight all who participate. think of her as the flock of sheep (ideas) and me as the border collie getting them in the pen. much more on this coming soon.
in the meantime let's have a look at my studio makeover. i was going to sell my dear mid-century chair to make room for another that is in the living room. but when i told pam this she immediately started whirring around moving furniture and picking that chair up and hefting it across the room. i protested of course and raised many objections about why it wouldn't work. mama moss would be glad to hear me admit i can be a real stubborn mule at times.
it won't work. i won't like it. there won't be room. no no no
fortunately pam ignored me. when all was said and done the chair fit perfectly and GLOWED from its new corner location. i realized i could give up the bathroom door since i have another and in doing so have a sunlit reading chair with a view across the hills. a sunset watching chair. i often go stand at this window during the golden hour and look across the hills and trees.
i also have a new spot for my art table and couldn't be happier. it feels like a whole new space. when you live in a 648 sq. foot cottage there are only so many ways things can be arranged. this feels new and fresh.
yes yes yes
