happy thanksgiving everyone. i'm awfully grateful for my mom, sisters, brother, my visual journals, ability to travel, cat posse, friends, and YOU! and also my coach seat to kansas got upgraded to first class. i like it when that happens. i like it a lot.
and…thanks to whoever sent me the venetian advent calendar and mysterious painting. i vaguely recall someone mentioning the calendar, but w/o a name or note i can't deliver a proper thank you. my email detective work yielded nothing. so thanks!
i've scheduled a couple of posts while i'm gone. including one about my decision to return to the classroom in january. have been meaning to post it, because i wrote it a month ago, but haven't. i'll probably be instagramming from kansas. hopefully i won't freeze to death. haven't been in that kind of cold in a looooooooong time. brrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Glad to hear you got the upgrade to 1st class…that always helps the journey comfort. I loves me those big, wide seats and the attention paid.
Hope the visit/caretaking of your mom goes way better than expected. You have my moral support you know.
Keep doing what you always do: brighten someone’s day and spread the good cheer in your own unique way. We all love you and care about your family.

Isn’t Hendry’s Beach amazing? Have’t been lately, but around the turn of the century (I love saying that, makes me feel like some kind of olde timer!)used to meet one of my girl friends there. Lunch at the Brown Pelican and then an afternoon of talking and journaling.
Take our prayers and thoughts with you to Kansas and spread them out amongst your family.

Hope all goes well MaryAnn with your visit to Mama Moss. Not an easy path. I’m relieved you have a sister and brother to help with what comes next. You are an admirable person ( I don’t say that lightly or often) but tis true. Hope it all works out at home and you can come back to your teaching career with renewed vigor – those kids are damn lucky, girl. Damn.
