OMG….If I had an Ipad I could get rid of all the little art supplies by my bed on the end table!! With this class….I just can’t go to sleep once I lay my head down…it keeps clicking away inside doing art patterns!! I have even wished I had my Mom’s old small hospital bed side table that rolls over you and even had a drawer for supplies….do we HAVE to sleep?! Maybe a bed in my art room would work….well, an Ipad would work for sure!!! Is there therapists for this sort of thing?! I AM very HAPPY though….!…such a fun class….!
hey classmates,
I was too impatient to wait for Mary Ann’s app name and did some online reading and purchased PAPER by 53.
The basic app is free but you need to purchase about $12+ worth of tools. I loved my first sketch….but then the palette disappeared from the screen. So, I go to tech support and hear this is HUGE problem….
so this particular app might be a bust, it certainly opened like a fire cracker, and then fizzled.

Are you then able to print any of these out for patterned card stock and change the sizing? I would love to learn how to do this on my husband’s iPad. Maryann, you are just so so clever and I thank you for always sharing.

Ditto about getting a fabric partner. Also ditto about the app you use.

I love the patterns! If you haven’t visited Spoonflower yet, you should: http://www.spoonflower.com
Ha! I like the ‘oink and orange’ idea! Pink pigs and orange flowers would be a nice pairing! 😀
Digital really does have that advantage of being able to change a color with a keystroke or two. It’s one of the things I love about that medium. That and CMD-z!

Ah, that “oink” should be “pink.” I’m typing this in bed and haven’t got quite as much control over the keyboard as you do the paintbrush.

You give Marimekko a run for the money. Find yourself a fabric partner pronto. I’d love that last oink and orange print on a pillow! Such talent you have. And all that without even getting out of bed…
