i love me some pink thread!
i’m up to my ears in SEWN paraphernalia. you who are joining me will be too on july 4th!
summer school is already buzzing and humming and we haven’t even started yet. holy hoo haw!
SEWN is growing. i’ve extended it to 5 weeks. the weeks are going to be full. true story. videos and a blog post related to the project released every monday. another post every friday with additional ideas. a video blog on fridays. summer camp, paper sewing, and cocktail hour all rolled into one. no foolin’
by the way if you’ve already registered there are 61 of you dear peeps who have NOT signed up to yahoo with the yahoos. well, you don’t have to yack if you don’t want to, but you might want to go look at the pics of some of your cute craft monkey classmates. maybe. probably, you’ll want to. and if you are registered and going, ‘huh whaaaa there’s pictures???” the answer is yes! and you better hightail it over there and post yours.
and just to extend this blog-post-turned-advertisement, here’s the sneak peek again. just in case you missed it the first go-round.
okay! back to regularly scheduled thangs.
i’ve been grabbing scraps and sewing them onto things willy nilly. because the bulletin board is just there right in front of me while i’m sewing. which makes it easy to grab things and go crazy.
nothing is safe. do not come over for a visit unless you want me to rip your shirt off and do an edward sewingmachinehands job on it. except then you won’t be able to wash it again. ever!
buck was staring at me over the top of the sewing machine while i was making stuff so i grabbed him and got stitchy. july 4 is his birthday. he would have been 18. hewwo cookie. mama loves you.
Chris says
catching up. CATching up. drawing something while looking at sweet Buck.
I wasn’t going to comment on every freaking post but then I remembered what my mama used to call a hoo-haw. She didn’t call it holy, although I suppose that would fit.
I have to finish drawing before it’s time to leave work.
HA!
or, Hoo Haw!
Colleen says
Oh sweet Buck. Our Figaro, who looked just like Buck would have been 18 too. Her 4 daughters still live and they just turned 16. Hard to make it here in coyote canyon.
Sharon | the teacup incident says
Oh, I can’t wait to start SEWN “summer camp for creatives”. All your photos (and cocktails) looks so yummy I might just start early by getting out my neon thread and playing with my machine. Buck Angel will be hovering over the class I’m sure.
Marci Glenn says
Aw, I love the picture of Buck. I sure do miss his antics. I think I’ll capture some pics of my black kitty, Shadow, so he can be a part of my SEWN book too.
Colette says
I always love seeing your cats and was sad when Buck went. I adopted a rescued cat in January and I love her so. She might make it into my journal too. I am so inspired by you.
Mary Ann Moss says

Susan M says

Neeeee-on pink. too good. Just saw a new line of neon sharpies at Aaron Brothers art supply. Sew pretty….(yikes)
I just yanked my entire Wall Of Inspiration DOWN and tossed everything into a BIG box. Yeah, I’m just waitin to see what we do in class…
The W.O.I. was replaced with framed prints and stuff, like an adult wall.
what’s come over me?
by the way, your Buck looks fab in his stitchy glory. That was one HANDSOME baby. You can see how loved that boy was…IS.
