a new challenge at the MAMSOS. profiles! let's discuss this okay? no wait. let's not.
then there's this. a complicated photo with buildings tilted at opposing angles. i wanted to quit, but i kept going.
this also happened on my hillwalk this morning. the thing about wanting to quit…
the mailman passed. i wanted to stand in front of the truck on the narrow lane and demand to be taken home. but it wasn't the friendly mailman. it was the other one. so i trudged on.
i drew this nice case of snacks when i made it back up the hill to moss cottage. it cheered me.
onward & upward pilgrims!
I have often thought of jumping onto the back of the garbage truck to get a ride home, but I think your idea of travelling with the mailman FAR SUPERIOR!
catherine,
unless the doges palace was relocated to dorsoduro i am afraid not. then again in venice there are so many palaces who can keep track…
Glad to see an image of your sister that’s not an up the nostrils view. That’s pretty color in the snacks! Your lungs and legs will thank you for the climbing practice when you get to Umbria and are amidst those fit Italians!
I am glad you trudged on. It does not cost any money to make yourself feel happy with persisting. I only had enough courage yesterday to vacuum living room around the chairs, not under. I should have thrudged on also.
I love your drawing of the Doge’s Palace in Venice. I am trying out Art Rage on ipad. Perfect for those who can’t draw a straight line like me… Keep sketching Mary Ann, you do it well!
Hmmm… I wonder. Is your friendly mailman Fernando, by any chance? Not sure how many streets over he travels. He is friendly, is Fernando.
Love the buildings tilted at opposing angles….wow!
Well I’m sure if the non-friendly mailman knew you, he’d love you. Sure of it!
Can you hear me laughing here in Arkansas? I got tickled at the idea of your demanding to be taken home, but when I got to the “but it wasn’t the friendly mailman” – hilarious!
I recognize your sister.
your sketches make me smile Mary Ann; a big, wide, grin that runs for miles and miles and it’s all really very contagious stuff.
I’m in love with your sketches. And your writing. I’m so glad you have time now to play. We in bloglandia are the gleeful beneficiaries.
Your so real, I love it. The mailman idea was good, another day another mailman, ha ha.
Oh, lady, you make me laugh. (“but it wasn’t the friendly mailman”) I can so relate! So funny!
