i’m practically finished with my visual journal booklet that i’ll be offering in my shop in the next few days.
just putting together a little printing guide. it can either be stapled in the middle with a long-reach stapler or sewn with a fast & easy 3-hole pamphlet stitch. the booklet itself is 16 pages (4 pages per each 8.5 by 11 paper) including the front & back cover. requiring 4 pieces of good-quality, matte double-sided photo paper. 16 original, collage-style, digitally created visual journal pages in the form of a booklet. i’ve printed mine borderless. it will also be available in a 16-page pdf document that you can look at on the ipad or your desktop. and of course when you are sick of looking at it you can always print and cut it up for collage fodder of your own! or use as postcards. sew on them, add more collage elements, whatevah!
tomorrow..or later today i’ll have photos of the actual booklet. and then in another day or so will list the whole shebang in my shop.
to be perfectly honest, i’m quite thrilled with it. playing with photoshop cs5 and sloshing digital paint around is quite a bit of fun. when i cleaned out my closet in my art room studio i fortuitously stumbled across my wacom tablet. i could scribble away on that thing for hours. just never seems to get old watching doodles you make on the tablet show up on your computer screen. uh-freaking-mazing
although wyatt wishes i’d stop fooling around and tend to his needs.

Can’t wait for the treat! You’ve been SO busy. I, on the other hand, have been a slug. I have a craft/sewing/art room that is beginning to look like something that is seen on the show “HOARDERS”…I have never been a hoarder in my life, so can’t figure out how this happened. It’s to the point I don’t know where to begin to clear out the stuff. GRRRRRR!

Yippee.. Can’t wait to see it!! Hey, have you ever done a photo tour of your art room before? Curious (nosy) people like me might like to see that. 🙂 Mine is a disaster area so I am always looking for inspiration. Thanks for such a great blog- I love to read it (and your sister’s) .

Jumping up and down, running around the house yelling at the top of my lungs, mind you DD is on spring break and is still catching up on her zzzzzzzs, I think she might have thrown something at me, I think I caught the breeze of a pillow just sailing past my head. You bet your sweet boots you should be proud, you spin gold with those mitt’s of yours. The cat posse just needs to understand they MUST share you with us. Speaking of which, they pose ever so proudly for you, almost as if thinking’ I’m too cool for you to photograph me, but if you must….well alright’ ok so did I mention how excited I am for your downloadable booklet, I’ve stocked my paper, ink…the printer is on stand by….YES, Please, one serving….yes….oh yes…..
