This enchanting casita embraced me from the moment I walked inside.
and.
I was smitten. A regular smitten kitten! The La Bamba Guesthouse.
I thought I would dislike sharing my breakfast each morning with La Dueña. It was one of the highlights of my trip. Really & truly. As my visit drew to a close we started yacking more and more. I even had the pleasure of meeting one of her sons & his bride to be.
REally delightful. One of my favorite vacation rentals yet.
La Dueña also has a place in Akumal with major va va voom factor. I'm thinking with 4 bedrooms & 4 bathrooms it would make an outstanding journal/reading retreat house for 4-5 people. A weeklong retreat in paradise. She told me about a special swimming lagoon close to the house. It's also close to TULUM, where I've been wanting to go.
Ideas. Doing what ideas like to do.. Take me on warm & luscious magic carpet rides.
just wanted to share…

Tulum is awesome, you must go. My time there was too brief, but it’s a wonderful memory and I would love to go again.

Oh, Miss Moss..
I have just played catch up here. I am drunk on color and, for some unexplained reason, teary-eyed. What an absolutely beautiful trip. Well, maybe not the flying/airport bit. I can well understand how you had such vivid dreams and dreams within dreams.
Whew! I think I need a rest now.
Love to you, e.

Now that is what I call a divine journal retreat. That would make an awesome getaway. It seems to have every amenity covered and then some. Enjoy your weekend Mary Ann. RELAX and savor every second.

Oh my…wouldn’t that just be a horrible place to journal! Wow!

Both houses, the one you stayed just in and the one you hope to escape to, look fantastic. I like your idea of having a writing, journaling, swimming, relaxing retreat at that larger house. I hope you are able to make that happen for yourself and a few loved ones. I’m sure you’ll be a fantastic guide and also a true proponent of the joy of relaxation. What amazing artwork and photography you would produce at a place like that!
Also – as you discover more iPad apps, please talk about them. I have a new one and would love any and all tips you have for good ways to use it well.
Enjoy your last weekend before heading back to school with your beautiful and rambunctious students.
Again, I’m glad you got back safely from your recent jaunt in Mexico.
