slow going in the travel journal. i seem to be more interested in reading travel books, playing words with friends, watching irish thrillers on IFC, and gearing up for an evening spent at DOWNTON ABBEY. also i made chicken pot pie in my crockpot. also i did more doodling & coloring on the ipad. the end.
Yummy yummy yummy yummy journal pages!!!!
Oh Downton Abbey……love that series.
crock pot chicken pot pie????? now you ARE going to share that recepie, right?????
maria! try ALARM on IFC. a good irish thriller. different.
I really need to get with it and watch that – I keep hearing fab things about it! And, I too would love to know the app you use on your iPad for doodling. Thanks!
Which Irish thrillers? I watched The Guard this weekend – funny, brutal, warm, the usual. Also went to see War Horse (worth its nominations).
Did you do the block print?
When you post your iPad doodling, is it possible to credit the app used as well? I’m saving up a list of them for the someday.
Ooh. Irish thrillers on IFC?! Tell me more. What titles should I look for? And Downton Abbey, what can I say other than I can’t get enough of Maggie Smith.
Sounds like a perfect weekend thing to do teacher! I made a cherry cobbler so as to have a delectable “pudding” for Downton! I just LOVE that show. Have a good week ahead after such a nice weekend recoup!
P.S. Violet – For a while I thought it was Downtown Abbey too, and that they were just pronouncing it incorrectly on the Italian ads!
How odd. They are showing Downton Abbey here in Italy too, but I’m not watching. I can watch only really lightweight stuff, like these two evening soaps that I abhorred for months and avoided like the plague and am now totally hooked on. Although I may have to drop them too, because on one a main character just got a serious illness and on the other a down on his luck mafia boss is getting bashed around by some upstart!
Wish I had some Cherry Garcia right now!
It is lovely to see some of your journal again. A friend of mine is lending me the first or second season of Downton Abbey (can’t remember which one. I Have only ever seen 1 episode. Not a good confession from a Brit. Love Karenxx
I watch the Saturday night brit-coms and Sunday night Doc Martin (funny!!!!!), Downton Abbey (I thought the name was Downtown Abbey for the whole first season) and Miss Marple. I would have no night life without KPBS. Your travel journal looks fabulous. Don’t know if I would like Chicken Crock Pot Pie — just sounds wrong — but I’ll have some cherry garcia please.
Ooooohhhhh, the Chiapas book is lookin’ good … even a little yummier than Cherry Garcia! Is that possible? Mmmmmm.
Sounds a lot like my weekend. Love Downton Abbey, and rewatched previous episode with Mom before last evening’s episode. Love the gorgeous dresses. Having fun playing words with friends too. Glad I am at least “in the game” this time…LOL. Got 2 games going with my daughter too. Got a chance to catch the film One for the Money and really enjoyed it. Finished a book, and cooked a birthday dinner for Mom.
I LOVE Downton Abbey! What travel books are you reading?
A huge YES for Downton Abbey .. I’m tuned in via computer. donna
Don’t tell me what happened on Downton Abbey, I’m visiting with TNT Moore and taping the episodes while I’m away! But isn’t it fabulous??? The sets, the costumes, the handsome men in uniform…swoon!!!
Watched Downton Abbey here too. Ate Japanese instead of pot pie. Have a good week! 🙂
