Have a lovely time! I have the Friday through Tuesday off and am counting the hours til the end of work this evening. No axe involved in my weekend, but lots of art, reading, and visiting with friends. Gotta love long weekends!!

Bears. Tie some bear bells to your a–, so you gingle when you walk. When I lived ‘north of 60’, I was presented with a hand held ‘bear mask’. They (the bear community) immediately accepted me as one of their own. ha ha … or course, the screaming that I was in the area could have had something to do with it. Enjoy this precious time in nature, in the moment, in this beautiful spot. :o) Donna

Very C-O-O-L!!! I love the way your mind works. OH! And the Courage badge. Reminds me of the great idea you had in Paris. A badge for every place visited. The only thing I remember from Girl Scouts is if you need to outrun a bear go uphill. (Yeah, like that’s gonna work.) Maybe you’ll run into Yogi and BooBoo. One other essential from Girl Scouts…don’t forget graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate. Smiling now? Wishing you a(nother)wonderful adventure!

I would bring a Newfoundland dog, the kind with a cask of spirits round his neck, and plenty of chocolate. Have a great time, bring a raincoat and your hiking umbrella.
Hmmmmm. Maybe some mace should go in that trail bag. Just in case the adrenalin rush isn’t enough to help you outrun a bear. 🙂 I can hardly wait to see the cozy cabin!! Looking forward to our getaway.
