Howdy, I'm Mary Ann Moss, the chimp at the helm of this ship. I've been blogging right here since 2007 and exploring the world & driving getaway cars since 1963.
Summer rules: Anything goes! Love this idea, I may just go out for brekkie!
CaCao Mexicatessen!
No fair! I live in LA too. Name of the restaurant serves this amazing breakfast?
I am sitting across from you trying not to sneak food from your plate while your head is bent over your journal.
I took a friend to lunch at Cafe Rio, a jumpin’ new Mexican cafe in our bailiwick. They have the best Chicken Tortilla Soup I’ve ever slurped off a spoon, and this includes the good CTS I make from scratch! It’s so good I dream about it. They even put a dollop of guacamole in the soup!
My friend had the Barbacoa Beef salad, so huge she took half of it home to have for dinner. There wasn’t a morsel left of my soup. They make flour tortillas right there too. I’m sure they’re a chain outfit but the food tastes like home made. Kind of like Chipotle.
Your breakfast looks divine…is that machaca? I could eat Mexican food every day of my life. Muy sabroso!
Joan,
Out where the west gets wild.
Dear July: how come my sister always gets special treatment from you? I am feeling slighted. You can make it up to me next year. I’ll be waiting right here. Very thankfully yours, Carol
I love uncrowded restaurants when the rest of the world is working away. Oh to solitude I am engaged….
YUM!!!!!! I might have to flip and make breakfast for dinner tonight..something we do occasionally around here. 🙂
That breakfast looks amazing!!!!!

perfection, enjoy! blest be … 🙂
Sounds like a plan to me. Taking one day at a time and enjoying it. Just doing what feels right.
Simply lovely — like being on vacation right in L.A. (which you make me miss, incidentally!).
What more could you ask? The perfect morning! And love that top picture of the numbers.
Belatedly working my way through “Stencilry” and having a blast! Way out of my comfort zone – but so much fun!

Oh man….nice. The coffee, the breakfast (OMG) and especially the journal! 🙂 Great way to start the day indeed!
